"The location of the restaurant is inside an old production site. You will find a relaxed atmosphere without any type of stress and during summer season some tables outside. Consequently to the above relaxed atmosphere the service is not as fast as in other places but the waiting time is worth as the food is excellent. The relation quality/price is correct and I like also the fact that nobody is stressing about leaving the table for the next customer, once you are seated you can enjoy it as long as you wish. Ther are only few parking places but there are parking possibilities just in the proximity."

Unfortunately, it is not possible to forgive 0 stars. The blond-haired lady is very unsympathetic, instead of a welcome there was only one “how can I help you” according to the motto what you want here. (The 5€ tip was for your sweetness, do not treat your customers according to their breed)

Definitely the highlight of my stay in Weil am Rhein was this amazing café/restaurant. The food was delicious, the Pils Lager was to die for, especially in the 38 degree heat we had whilst there. The staff, exceedingly friendly and helpful. It probably helped my wife speaks German and could translate the menu and that would be my only criticism. I want to transfer this place to Barnsley!

Already at the entrance of the café I did not feel welcome. A blond-haired lady (middle 40) looked very unfriendly after the motto. What are the aliens doing here? After that she didn't even greet us and told us with an rude expression of face: how can I help you, then my buddy said we would like to drink a coffee and she showed us where we can take a place. Honestly, at the moment we wanted to get up and go... we quickly drank our coffee and left it. I'll never make a foot in the café again.

"Cheval Blanc is the ultimate classic French fine dining experience in Switzerland. We came here to celebrate my birthday while in Switzerland looking for a 3 Michelin stars experience. Located in the historical Grand Hotel Les Trois Rios. The riverside setting is charming and romantic. You start by a welcome drink at the terrace looking at the Rhine greeted by suited , polite and professional staff. The head chef Peter Knogl came to say hi before we moved to the main dining room and service started. The decor and interior is classy retro French with high ceilings, arches, classic chandeliers, large windows and round tables with candles. Ambience is warm and intimate. Service was top notch and impeccable. Staff were all knowledgeable with refreshing attention to details. Cuisine was modern french with Mediterranean influences, flavors were complex and dynamic. Ingredients were chosen carefully and courses were presented beautifully. I liked all of my courses, highlights of the menu were the Sardine Macaron, Langoustine curry, Red Mullet filet and the French saddle of lamb with mediterranean flavors. Wine pairing was excellent and enhanced every course taste and flavor. Sommelier was very professional and knowledgeable yet intimidating a bit. The French Cheese selections from Maître Antony in Ferrette was aromatic, rich and satisfying, Maître Antony is one of the best in the world that many Michelin starred Chefs get their fine cheeses selection from. The night ended well with a couple of delightful desserts courses, few delectable bites and some velvety chocolate. Overall, we had an elevated fine dining experience that will bring me back if in Basel again."
