On our way to the Vendée coast we stopped by St Philbert for lunch and decided to try this restaurant. Overall it was very good. Nothing to rave for but solid French fare. They was a lot of locals (business lunch) so the restaurant was pretty full but the owner found us a good table. The service was very good. We had the lunch menu and some wine in carafe and overall it was a good value. This is a good option for lunch (close to the freeway) if you are nearby on your way to the coast.

we took my mom for her birthday over there, and this was the worst place we had diner during our holidays. The food is not fresh, the service is really poor and the menu is really small. Overall a bad experience. This is a restaurant near the biggest lake in France and they cannot even have eels available, which is the speciality around there. There is only 5 entrees and 5 main courses to choose from, the fish was frozen and overcooked, the sauce was not made on premises..... I cannot believe places like this are still open nowadays. They make it look fancy with table clothes. The bread basket was on the table before we got to the restaurant, they cannot even serve the wine to each guest....... View menu
