"dumping the canal for awhile during our recent bike ride and taking to the back roads from Homps to Narbonne, one naturally traverses this little mountain outpost. About the only restaurant worth mentioning in town is C de M. a few hundred meters from the center, its a park-like oasis for diners at noon or evening. Service was great, but we were the only people eating there at mid day. Wonderful salads and mineral water by the fish pond with wonderful arbors, and ample parking for cars and bikes. Pizza and seafood salad were the standouts for us. check out the pics!"

Very friendly staff, an address I recommend, we eat very well. It seems to me that the menus are only available for some days, tell you, it really is worth a visit.

The place is clean, decoration sober and simple. The service is nice but quite long. The fish and seafood parrillada : everything was good, well grilled and warm when served. If you're very hungry then you would be satisfied since the quantity of food was huge! Regarding dessert I cannot comment anything since the home made profiteroles wasn't available. No big surprise at this place, food is good, place is OK.

"You wouldn’t know about this little restaurant unless someone told you or you read it here. Salèlles-d’Aude is a little sleepy village along the bucolic Canal de la Robine, a southerly branch of France’s famous Canal du Midi. Cook n’ Roll is a crazy little...eatery hidden away down a leafy lane and featuring an old Citroën van serving as its garden table setting hatchery. It is a simply magnifique and utterly bohemian setting for some fine rustic fare. There might not be much to choose from on the changing menu, but that hardly matters as it is bound to be good. On our particular dining night there were exactly two starters, two mains and one dessert. Starters consisted of tuna ceviche and chicken style style salad. Mains were duck breast in a totally enticing sauce and tuna with tagliatelle on a green bean bed. Dessert was creamy vanilla tart. Wine is sold by the carafe or the bottle and feature some of the local product. If the food alone was simple merveilleux, then the setting was incroyable. Simple metallic chairs an tabled scattered in among a few trees in what amounts to a back garden. You can dine inside, but why bother. Run by three well-travelled and dedicated connoisseurs of cuisine, Jean-Marie, Arian and Milo this shy little gem invites you to linger. Reservations are absolutely necessary and perhaps a good map. Otherwise, walk minutes south along the canal track (west side) from the main bridge to find Cook n’ Roll and look for the little side path. You will be utterly enchanted."
