"in a small square inside the historic waterfront of gaeta we discover this restaurant with numerous outdoor tables and is where we decide to dine. the atmosphere is pleasant also thanks to the tree-lined square. Father (popolla) in the kitchen and son (popollin) at the tables. Fast and discreet service, there is a visit by chef Popolla. We order appetizers: friggiarelli octopus and potatoes, good, toasts with chickpeas and red onions, excellent, cuttlefish and radicchio, great. Spaghettone and clams, great, small piece (fish to us unknown) with potatoes, good with a quotation of merit for potatoes, baccala morros, great, very simple, with a classic taste. I count in the norm, congratulations."

I have been there several times forgetting that it is a good place, but there is also other. nice location, impeccable service, fresh products. improves over time, but always report quality embarrassing price.

Super appetizer (totanetti) shrimp dumplings and good but a little heavy. on the cod on the bed of the scarola they confused and a curd arrived on caponata. they immediately brought the scarola but the caponata was really not tasty. in summary there is to return.

small but very welcoming restaurant (both inside and outside,) serves dishes evidently born from the interest, study and curiosity of the chef whose intellectual honesty allows his creations not to fall into the trap of the now inflazionata gourmet label. good value for money. recommended. we were advised by friends but we were titubanti after reading the latest reviews. at the end the wait was in the norm (but I think it has influenced the having booked at 22,) the dishes were well presented, the generous portions. only note: prices quite high and menu with bad prices (a spaghetti with 2 clams can not cost 4€ in less than a dish of linguine with half a lobster).

local in the center of gaeta. well prepared table, a basket of bread and grissini really very particular. I enjoyed the choice to print the menu of the day according to what the kitchen proposed. wide selection of wines (although not all present). excellent appetizers, in particular the toasts (which I highly recommend) and the polyp. well-made bavette, I expected, instead, something more from shrimp to shrimp and burrata. slow service, especially for orders. price!? average
