"It is a nice friendly pub- hotel in Portes du Soleil 5 minutes walk up to main lifts to Avoriaz . The music is great .Once you up there you have access to all long great blues reds and blacks. You can ski back right outside the hotel . The pub is clean has lots of good beer , wine etc i especially recommend 7 euro affigem strong Belgian beer Food is reasonably priced served in good portions and filling . Try kinkerne burger 15 euros served with triple cooked chips and salad . The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful . Australian bar tender Rita and Baudouin were great . There is only 5 rooms which was great. Our room was clean with a spare single bed to put our cases . We had a nice size balcony . The beds were not too comfortable. We missed having a kettle in the room . The breakfast was ok included in the room rate . We had endless coffee , tea , orange juice, apple juice . They have a egg boiler which makes perfect soft boiled egg in 5.5mins . We liked this place so much that we ended up eating there every night that we stayed there . It is 1.15 minutes to Geneva airport which is very convenient. We throughly enjoyed our stay there we might go back . Highly recommend it ."

We stopped off here every afternoon for a post ski beer and a snack. The staff are so friendly and the food choices are spot on. The music is also good and goes to set a great atmosphere.

Fantastic little place by the slopes. Great hot chocolate and excellent staff. We sat in the sun by the slopes and had a hot chocolate with whipped cream which did not disappoint. Staff are British and very friendly.

We stayed during our skitrip across the street from this bar/restaurant and eated here twice. Food is good, the plates or more than full and the prices are low. Afterwards we drank some beers and cocktails. Good friendly staff

Really good food selection, the burgers (especially on 2 for 1 Wednesday) are excellent, all freshly made, no bought in patties. Good selection of beers. Cheerful and chatty staff made everyone welcome and had a great atmosphere. Recommended.

The food was one of the best Christmas dinners we have ever had. The service of the staff was exceptionally friendly. They made us feel totally at home. The food was very nicely cooked and was excellent value for money. Thank you Glenda and team

We have visited this place often over the last few years due to it’s proximity to our holiday accommodation. The standard of the food has risen considerably, and they still have a very relaxed atmosphere with that ‘just stepped off the snow’ feel. They have some large tables and on the whole the staff are friendly (we only encountered one who was a little less so! . A good place to go for some reasonably priced pub food.

Nice hotel in a great location. Rooms are very clean and comfy. Neal’s Yard products are a nice touch. Bar is great fun and lively early on. Dinner was very tasty and a good variety. Breakfast was just the basics, but yummy bread and croissants, and pots of tea or good coffee. All staff were very friendly. Very short walk to ski shop and the Prodains Express. Les Prodains is quite quiet after Apres. Not easy to get back from Avoriaz in the evenings. We didn’t try Morzine but would definitely check you can get back. Would definitely go back for a weekend.

I’m not sure if this hotel has changed ownership since the last reviews but our experience was not great at all. I paid €300 for 2 nights, thinking we would at the very least, get breakfast included. Not so! The room was not very big and had a double and single bed for me and my two teenage children. Although the room wasn’t particularly dirty, there was a musty smell that wasn’t pleasant. The staff in the bar did not speak very good English, which is fine but not what has been commented on in previous reviews. We opted to eat elsewhere as we didn’t really feel comfortable in the dining area. On the first night (Thursday), there was a very loud and very bad karaoke going on, which kept us aw...
