"We have eaten at La Mattina several times over the years when we have been in Puerto Rico and have always been very satisfied with the food. But the last visit, week 44 of 2023, was unfortunately a negative and boring experience. When we got to the restaurant there were only 2-3 tables occupied and we got a good table outside. The staff were nice and we ordered a drink, starter and main course. It took about an hour before the starter came, classic bruschetta for everyone in the family, ok taste but no more than that. After another long wait, the main courses came in and now it was unfortunately really bad. Two in the party had ordered pasta with Scampi, one ordered meat with fries and sauce (which was forgotten and had to be reminded , one ordered Carbonara and finally my dish pasta with salmon. My pasta with salmon was identical to the pasta Scampi that others at the table had ordered and when I pointed out that it had probably been a mistake I was told that it was pasta with salmon on my plate. When I questioned why my salmon pasta only had shellfish and no salmon I saw the waitress start to hesitate, the waitress blamed the chef and was going to talk to him. After a couple of minutes she came back and told me that I had the right food, that there was pasta with salmon on my plate. Then I asked why my pasta with salmon had a tomato sauce when according to the menu it should be a creamy sauce (except salmon.. . Then she took my plate to the kitchen and then came back and confirmed that there was a mistake and that the chef would make new food for me. Five minutes later she brought a new plate where the chef had taken the food that was sent back and then poured a creamy sauce and mixed it again, there was still no sign of salmon but the seafood was still there. I went into the kitchen with the plate and handed it to the chef while telling him that I wasn 't satisfied and that I didn 't want any food. Overall, all the pasta was very overcooked, the meat more well done than the medium rare that was ordered. Hopefully the regular chef had fallen ill and that night 's chef was a bad solution, unfortunately it would have been better to keep the restaurant closed. We also thought that the waitress 's behavior was different, blaming the chef and saying you know how they can be , something we have not experienced in restaurants before. This is my first written feedback on a restaurant, never done it before but unfortunately La Mattina was so bad this time that I want to warn others who are thinking of visiting/revisiting the restaurant."

Had a really nice Lasagne al forno with Garlic Bread, large portion and lovely taste to it, very friendly fast and friendly service too. Had a great deal on from 5 8pm of 2 pizzas, so worth it. Can't wait to go back next year

We had amazing takeaway from this restaurant and couldn’t recommend it anymore! We wanted something easy to take back to our hotel room and we got so much more than what we expected The pizza was fantastic and the garlic bread/chip side was perfect The service was also the best we’ve received whilst on holiday, the main man running the place was brilliant The seafood pizza and the pepperoni pizza were both amazing Make sure you take a trip here, our next visit will be to sit in the restaurant £25 for the lot View menu

ESTE RESTAURANTE YA NO EXISTE AHORA SON OTROS Y ES MALÍSIMA SU CALIDAD. Durante años he venido a este restaurante, La Mattina y siempre ha sido de buena calidad, con comida de 10. Lamentablemente han cerrado y ahora hay otro italiano Giovanis que se está aprovechando del buen nombre de este anterior. Llamamos y decían que la carta era la MISMA porque era el mismo cocinero que los anteriores dueños...señores las pizzas parecían compradas en un supermercado. Les dejo las fotos y ustedes opinan. Los ingredientes no existen....
