"Dropped in for a light meal one night during a week's stay at Saintes Maries de la Mer we chose this restaurant because we both really fancied some sort of mussels dish, and they had a good inexpensive menu including Moules Marinieres frites...plus dessert. The garish decor and massive menu put us on our guard not to expect haute cuisine from this place, but since we anticipated this, we were not disappointed. The mussels were actually very good and there were absolutely stacks of them. The accompanying chips were plentiful and OK, but were a little soggy and certainly not the nice crisp French fries that I had been expecting. Service OK. Atmosphere very quiet in such a large place, but we were first into the restaurant that evening around and it was at the end of the season. I expect that it is packed at the height of the summer season. In summary: more than OK for the basics (so fit the bill for us on this occasion), but don't expect refined dishes or fine dining."

I had a very nice sole meuniere here with a decent wine. The only choice for veggies was a goats cheese salad! The desserts were good.

this restaurant near the hôtel de ville was a beautiful surprise. we wanted to eat moules mariniers, but it was unfortunately not available. Instead, we had an aïoli that was really good and as gloomy a caffe gourmand that was beautiful.

the menu selection seems far enough, but the food we had was very average. the waiter was not rude, but completely uninterested. it was pretty busy when we went in the next season, but possibly because there are not many other places open. to avoid.

The menu is quite good- with a selection of menus. Our party had steak(toro), mussels and paella. All dishes were served at the right temperature and were very generous in portion size. For example, the fish soup was almost a meal in itself. The service...was good and they serve later than some of the other nearby restaurants. The prices were reasonable.

With generously served portions and menus priced at and Euros, this restaurant is unbeatable in its category. All the local specialities were available (well maybe not paella), and I noticed that in the menu one of the many choices was home...made foie gras followed by prime rib of toro.I didn't see anything like it for the price anywhere else in town. The restaurant is on the market square across from City Hall. Open every day except for Sunday night.

My aunt I arrived in St. Maries de la Mer after the lunch rush when most restaurants are taking their siesta. Luckily La Mama Sita was open and willing to seat us. The service was quick and friendly (charged our phones will we dined),...the food was surprisingly delicious (the bull steak was super flavorful came with a number of sides), and being able to sit out on the patio was a nice perk. If you are in the area and want to try some of the local specialties, don't hesitate to give this place a try.
