"Not for the faint hearted if you are English however you have every chance to avoid the live seafood in choosing from the starter menu if you are squeamish about eating live whelks. I was reasonably resolute and OK but my partner would have quite happily returned them to their natural habitat! The basic menu gave a delightful reasonably priced 4 course feast if you chose carefully to avoid the starter pitfall mentioned and a very fatty desert. For me it was a lovely main course of fish medley in a creamy sauce, a simple but delightful course of local cheeses followed by the Tart Tatin, which was a sure classic very nicely served warm and moist Very friendly efficient and informative service involving advice on where the local cheeses could be purchased. Highly recommended by me but not by my partner who took a main of Moules Frites, the cheese and then the fatty desert mentioned and proceeded to feel quite overwhelmed by fat and the sight of poor squirmy creatures in their shells !"

Excellent food, pleasant service and live music from a very gravely voiced french singer and accompanied by a gent on harmonica. Very nice evening.

We have dinner in this restaurant. the very good fish pot as well as the cod fillet to the grape. I recommend tatin pie without real taste and flavor.

Really enjoyed our lunch here. We shared the fish platter as only wanted a light lunch. It was gorgeous and fresh. Loved the vinegar and shallots to go with the oysters. The man who served us was super sweet, very prompt and helpful. We'll come again on our return to Dieppe

We visited on a recent weekend away to dieppe, we ordered muscles marinere and steak and chips. Food was average with no real flavour. The muscles came in a huge bowl and never reached the bottom of it. Being a ferry port linking to england we would have thought they would offer an english menu, however this is not the case in most dieppe restaurant so everything's needs to be google translated from the menu which can be tiresome, nice outdoor atmosphere and food was ok

Visited near the end of Sunday lunch service. It is popular, sometimes there is a wait for a table. It was a lovely sunny day and we just enjoyed the atmosphere. As soon as a table became free, it was cleared, cleaned and we were invited to sit, menus handed to us. Our order was taken and beer arrived. Lunch arrived soon after. Yes, it gets busy, we were not in a rush. Chips very nice and tasted like potato rather than mash made into chips, mussels were lovely and sauce lovely. Enjoyed the meal. Facilities clean.

As a group of 9 arriving at about 9pm (it was a rough crossing! we were hunting for somewhere to eat. Many other places wouldn 't take us but La Marine could fit us in. We sat outside under an awning so were sheltered and had a perfect temperature. With a group of 9 there 's always going to be a mix of demands and menus options but the handled it well. The food was okay/good but not amazing. Even when we were the last folks there they didn 't make us feel unwelcome which was nice. Not at all bad but not particularly 'special '.
