"Althought our stay was short but it was worth it. We loved the architecture, you can feel that each place and corner of the parador has its own soul. Breakfast was very delicious with a nice view. rosquillas were too delicious to resist! Absolutely a great place to rest and recharge your soul."

"Recommendable. It is a tavern or inn with a relaxed atmosphere. The food very rich. Despite being a public holiday, it had a menu for 15 euros. I chose the migas and the sirloin and it was an excellent choice. Also highlight the cheap and good quality children's menu ... I would repeat ... Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"We arrived at the Hostal opposite rather late and extremely hungry, and the staff recommended the restaurant. It is situated just off the motorway with a large car park. There was a menu del diawhich I think was €11 (I'm really not sure whether that's correct), but we decided to eat a la carte. The food was excellent rather than outstanding, but considering the hour, better than I expected. Our waitress was good humoured and bubbly despite being faced with two extremely tired, and potentially grumpy, Englishmen in fact she made our evening, and I only wish I'd taken her name to be able to personalise my appreciation. If the menu del dia is prepared to the same standard, which I think is probably the case, it will be a bargain."

"La experiencia ha sido excepcional, desde la atención del camarero como de la elección de los platos a elegir. Primero ensalada de perdiz, a continuación unas zamburiñas como previo a unos filetitos de ciervo. El remate una tarta de manzana casera con helado de vainilla. Sencillamente espectacular, y disfrute de sentidos para los que disfrutamos de la buena comida y mejor tratada. La cuenta está bien pagada y de regalo unos chupitos. Debe ser visita obligada si se pasa por Oropesa!"

"We were humming down the amazing A5 autovia, halfway from Madrid to Carceres in a rented SUV when we got hungry. A service-station stop had a restaurant with an unappetizing menu and steep prices, so we kept going on and saw an ancient castle on the left, so we decided to check it out. Miraculously, we arrived in the Plaza del Navarro just as another car was pulling out of a parking space, so we took the space and hopped out to stroll by the restaurants. The menu at Meson Carlos seemed to be the most interesting – if a little expensive. So we sat down on the terrace and proceeded to be stunned by the superb quality of their food. The service was countryside relaxed – no need to rush here, although the place was pretty busy and food seemed to be simply flying out from the kitchen. The beer was good (and welcomed! and a generous glass of dry house white was solid. The avocado salad (15 euro was simply amazing – and huge. Besides what seemed to be two chopped avocados, the dish was flavoured with fresh figs, cheese, tomatoes, olives and three different types of lettuce. All of which was likely fresh from the garden that day. The seafood soup was a sumptuous meal in itself featuring all kinds of delights from the Mediterranean in a delicious broth. We had a basket of nice fresh bread on the side (no charge and as the road beckoned, coffee seemed to be in order. A good thing, too: their coffee was outstanding!"
