"I'm going to eat in this paninoteca pizza and we always enjoy it. fine crispy pizza with thin teig as it is. la penisola also offers various piadinas and salates, which are also good. pasta I have never tried, since as italian I often prepare fine pasta myself. also we sometimes took la torta della nonna or a cannolo siciliano as a small dessert and both was delicious. the local is very well frequented around the midday time and sometimes you have to wait long to give up and pay for its order. mostly we go early or late and then we go fast. the personal is very nice and set up. the ambiente uncomplicated and easy, even sometimes a little loud, but it doesn't bother for a quick lunch. It's a pity that there's no sitting outside for the summer."

pizza is not bad, thin and with a good mozzarella. the dough is well-leaved but after cooking it definitely remains too much flour under. overall is however positive: sin that closes at 20! recommended the piadina

Been here since 2011. They have the right pizza, paninis and the right Italian coffees. Great place to hang out during lunch and the afternoon coffee. It's spacious and service is fast and attentive. Not pretentious at all, with reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

as other users write, the theke is really badly organized. when you eat everything quickly forgetting eating is super good, the pizza for a take away one of the best I ever eaten. At lunch there are also pastry goods and they also taste very good. prices are for zürich in order. View menu

this local is a great take away with many sitting opportunities. it is led by Italians and also the ingredients are qualitatiw very good. you get very good thin pizzas, piedine, panini and even teigware over midday. the prices are for zürich. this locally is not suitable for a romantic eating, but for the fast hunger on all cases. I'll like to visit it again.

the la penisola is an Italian restaurant that offers all meals also for take away. very fine foods like panini, salad, pizza, pasta, drinks. the prices are moderate and the staff are very friendly. you feel a certain italianità. on the afternoon, the local is very full and loud because the one customer order something for take away and order the others and then consume them in the tables.

The right place if you love a good pizza. After a not so great lunch in a "high end" pricly Italien down the road, I was told go to the La Penisola.I had a Drink and a Pizza Prosciutto for 16.50CHF and it was a great pizza, real pork ham, lots of spicy salami as I have asked for. The made it to the very , very short list of mine where I eat a pizza in Switzerland, considering it is Zurich and not Italy also the price is OK.They also server other light Italian style lunch items, like salads, sandwiches and so on.

please organize yourselves behind the counter! At take Away:Unbelievable if you have to stand for a piadina or an salat over 20 minutes. Before me were about 4 people who ordered exactly these things, after 20 minutes I could finally order. with a bit of organization behind the theke (one person gets in, one takes up the order and one prepares it) should it be possible? the foods are already prepared and for pizza you can wait but not for a salad/pipedine 20 minutes??Essen is in order/also not difficult with pizza/salat/pipedina etc.

"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
