"Buena hamburguesa, servicio reguleras. Pido hamburguesa, patatas y cerveza. Llega la cerveza enseguida, la hamburguesa en un tiempo razonable pero ni rastro de las patatas. Tras unos pocos minutos, empiezo a comer la hamburguesa (no me gusta fría, supongo que a nadie). A los pocos minutos de terminarla, llegan las patatas; las devuelvo, son un acompañamiento y ya no hay nada que acompañar. Me dan explicaciones: que si la hamburguesa se hace en menos tiempo que las patatas, que si hay mucha gente… En un caso así no se necesitan explicaciones, sino disculpas (las explicaciones no sirven, es como si pretendieran que yo disculpara su falta de organización; las disculpas, sí, un “lo siento, nos hemos equivocado” suele funcionar. Ah, deslizaron además que debería haber pedido las patatas como entrante para que llegaran antes; sin comentarios. Digamos que es como comprar un CD de tu grupo favorito pero está rayado y suena mal: la música es cojonuda, pero la experiencia no. Una pena, porque es la segunda vez que me sucede algo parecido (de tres veces); sin equilibrio cocina/sala/ambiente no hay buen sitio. Aquí no hay equilibrio. Ah, el personal de sala es majo, no digo lo contrario, pero ser majo no es suficiente"

Last night my wife and I went out to dinner with her sister and brother-in-law at La Pepita. The restaurant was full of life and had a great energy about it. We had the tempura and beef cheek croquettas as starters and then each had a burger for mains. I had the bacon cheese burger (I forget the name on the menu) and my wife had the salmon burger. We also shared an order of both the thin and chunky fries. All of the food was fantastic. The burgers are huge and so at the end we were all quite full. My wife and tried four of the various craft beer they have on offer there.
