"The outdoor tables were full of slightly older locals on a hot night a good sign. The menu appeared in French, English and Spanish so this place clearly caters for tourists also. But from the moment we arrived our female waiter was incredibly impatient with our lack of Spanish, and frankly pretty rude. Every order was met by furrowed brows, a grimace or muttering and shaking of head. It culminated, during the desert order with her practically shouting nose to nose at me across the table. She made no effort to slow her rapid fire Spanish when disputing my order of manchego cheese straight off the menu. It turns out they didn’t serve manchego cheese (which is from La Mancha, not from Castilla y León) but offered a similar local cheese from Salamanca. Fine by me, but she clearly felt I was an idiot for trying to order what was printed on the menu. We’d been in Spain for 5 weeks by this stage so I don’t think we were total culinary imbeciles. The other waiter was jolly and accommodating to a large group of French who showed up just after us. The food was good a plate of very good hand cut jamon and other classic raciones. So. Bad service to the point of ruining the experience. Not what you want. But avoid the lady waiter and you should be good."

Restaurante tradicional de los de toda la vida. Trato familiar y producto local. Se nota que come gente local y de la zona. Recomendable.

traditional site, of all life, close, pleasant treatment, and a menu more than good. It looks like so customers are local people, not the usual place of tourists.

A remarkable resturant maintaining the old ways of looking after patrons. Away from the less value for money resturants on the tourist trail this resturant treats you how you expect to be treated local or tourist. The menu of the day €20.00 includes choice of two courses, bottle of wine and a bottle of water. Great value for money. Famindly and wheelchair friendly. Excellent quality food and service.

We stopped for lunch on a Saturday with no reservations and we were able to get a table that turned out to be the only one available. The restaurant is in a neighbor hood is 15 minute walk from Plaza Mayor in a very safe environment. All the tables were occupied with families enjoying a classic restaurant. The ambiance was average, clean but dark. We shared clams, paella, and garlic shrimp (the USA/ Spanish) classics and a bottle of local white. All were well done no complaints. Bill was 52Euros which is reasonable.
