Called in on Sunday afternoon on our way home from a concert. We sat out in the garden and enjoyed the sunshine with two delicious pizzas. Very quick service and lovely staff. This place is a hidden gem! I ordered starter and main from the specials board. Both were delicious, freshly cooked and generous portion sizes. We were delighted to find homemade pizzas and pasta on the menu. My 10-year-old son, a pizza enthusiast, insists that these are the best pizzas ever! However, it’s the daily specials that truly shine for me, showcasing whatever fresh ingredients the chef sourced that day. Tonight, the fish was exquisite, and both my wife and I agreed that these were likely the best Italian dishes we’ve ever had—even surpassing our recent trip to Italy. Quite poor experience to be honest. I went in January 2021 to pick up a takeaway I had ordered. I rang up trying to get through to somebody and nobody answered, even though it said on the website that It was open. I tried again and after a few times a man answered. I thought he was unprofessional when answering the phone and very abrupt with me when placing my order. When we went to collect the food we was stood in the reception area for several minutes and nobody came out to greet us or tell us how long they will be, even though they could see that we was standing there. Update: Following a very unprofessional response from the takeaway, I thought it may be beneficial to share some photos of the soggy and thin base which were sliced by me, an ex pizza chef so future customers can decide whether I’m a “liar” or not. Judging by their replies to other unhappy customers on here, I’d say it’s like Hell’s Kitchen in there! And yes, I do often eat from Wetherspoons and can assure you that it’s nicer pizza than what we had on this occasion! Just ordered takeaway from here. TERRIBLE. Avoid this place at all costs. I had to ask to order drinks ask to order food. My friend asked I for no meat in her pasta and to get mushrooms in replace meat. That was not done even being stated by the server it would be sorted. The chef brought out the food rolling his eyes/ shaking his head and saying how the lad was useless serving the whole table heard this. Food arrived very poor standard I returned my pasta dish due to it having meatballs in this wasn't stated on the menu.
