"This is one of my favourite places to eat and drink and we come here regularly. It's in a beautiful location in the picturesque village of Dobcross and has gorgeous views of the village and surrounding countryside. The staff are so friendly and professional. Always a warm welcome at the Swan, and it's very popular with the locals too. We don't mind travelling over to visit every week as we love the food, service and location. The interior is very warm, cosy and traditional. Some great traditional features. All round very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. There are some lovely fires in a couple of the rooms for the winter months, and a function room upstairs is available. The menu is extensive, and the food is SPECTACULAR. The chefs are very creative with their specials board, and you really can't go wrong with whatever you order. They are super talented and know exactly what they're doing so it definitely keeps the menu exciting. All dishes executed to a tee. So much so, I can never resist ordering several dishes at once. Never kept waiting, and always a great experience. You definitely get your money's worth. Fantastic quality, and great presentation. The lunch menu is extra-good value too. Well worth a visit!!! Recommend people check food service times to avoid disappointment. You can find this on their website."

"Faded with the option of another Chinese takeaway, I scrolled through the online list of available places, I did a double 'game 's to we this listed, as it is my son and daughter in law favourite place. Great choice on the menu, Bridgette for me, mixed seafood for my husband followed by calzone and lasagne. Delivery was on time food was clearly freshly made not greasey) and the smell from the packages made your mouth water!! TOTALLY delicious. Ordered again yesterday week later) at my son 's house they were delighted to find the delivery service) and it was again fabulous, on the recommendation of my daughter in Law I had the goats cheese! It looked like a picture and tasted as good too. ..can 't wait for takeaway night next week! OH and needed to call about a request for my grandson, no problem at all."

"Went here for Christmas dinner in 2019 and never been back! So after 40 mins of being squashed shoulder to shoulder in a corner and sat an 84 yr old man on a 3 legged bar stool our glasses arrived which were covered in dust,...red wine was chilled, 1/2 bitter was ordered, a pint of lager arrived then another 20 mins the so called starters arrived which the table of 7 couldn't stomach as was close to gruel. Mains turned up with burnt roasted veg and mushy roast along with leather meat. we kindly asked that we didn't even bother with desert and wanted the bill to leave. Owner wouldn't come to the table t at all and we were happy that we were not charged for the food and quietly left. ONLY to find out that we are now all banned from the pub along with everyone else that complained or gave constructive criticism. only gets 2 stars instead of one because its a Thwaites pub and serves good beer"

"We stayed at this amazing little place only last night. My fiancé had booked it as a surprise mini-moon before our wedding in three weeks time! The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and professional, the food was cooked to perfection and Sam’s gin knowledge was nothing short of impeccable! Defiantly worth the 40 mile journey....we’ll be heading back soon for sure X"

"what a hidden little gem she somehow intervenes in the second in which she goes. the aroma of the dinge they come, welcomes them as they enter the old bank building, with abandoned covers, aged oaks, and the mix of modernity with steel and glass. very comfortable and cozy. the kitchen and the bar area are completely open to the view and the staff is very courteous and friendly. eating was bar non, the best I cost in the saddle. with new sensations such as the madras honey-fries and tormented seabass on a Thai green curry basis, this little feeling is a must if they want to pamper their taste buds. the beverage menu is just as good, offers all the usual bar-tarife and some very well made cocktails. admittedly I have taken some samples. a total of thumbs up to the palate cleaner of fruit salad chewing, instead of the boring usual chocolate mint. very cool. overall a huge thumb up."
