"After a slow stroll around the Parque y jardines de la Casita del Príncipe, one of the first places that temps a weary traveller, is La Taberna del Viajero. It was a while into a lovely meal that I translated the name of the venue as, The Traveler’s Tavern. I was greeted by friendly, Alvaro, who did his very best to translate the menu which was strung to the iron gate, leading to the entrance. I enjoyed a first course of risotto, followed by a small but beautifully flavored steak, served with a few fat potato chips. Sitting outside, it was hard to prize myself away from what is a great spot to sit in the shade and watch the world go by, in the shadow of the great, Royal Seat of San Lorenzo de El Escorial."

Menu of the day for lunch was amazing and priced well. I got the huevos rotos and they were one of the best things I ate in Spain. Left feeling very full. Spoke very little English, but great service.

Llegamos tarde, con mucho apetito y sin reserva nos buscaron mesa enseguida. La comida excelente, producto bien elaborado y presentación óptima. Crujientes de morcilla muy ricos. Relación calidad-precio muy buena.

Todo perfecto!! Cominos de menú y la comida estaba super rica, es comida casera. Calidad precio perfecto para ser esa zona. Los camareros fueron muy simpáticos y amables y eso que llegamos tarde. Lo recomiendo 100% nosotros volveremos seguro. Hay que reservar porque el salón no es muy grande.

Excelente experiencia en San Lorenzo del Escorial. Comida muy rica, muy de la zona, espacio acogedor pero sobre todo, el trato de su personal, exquisito!!! Son gente amable y generosa. Fui con mi familia a celebrar el cumpleaños de mi padre, 15 personas entre adultos y niños, todos estupendamente atendidos... Muy recomendable!!!
