"I went in on my second night in Rouen, and had a lovely meal. I was on my own and the staff found me a table for one and were very welcoming.I went for the menu which had 2 courses for €19. The starter I chose was mushrooms with a soft boiled egg, and I had prwns and calamari with rice for mains. I noticed the gentleman on the next table had the crispy prawns to start, so when I went back 2 nights later I tried that, and for mains I had risotto. It was all delicious. On the Sunday evening I joined some fellow tennis supporters and had the same again. The service was quite a bit slower on Sunday, and they seemed to be short staffed. Service on the first two visits was very good though."

The rudest service ever. This was an absolute low even for French standard. Food is good, but be prepared to be treated really badly.

The food and service was very good with a strawberry soup for dessert to remember. Convenient location among the surrounding restaurants.

Ate here as a group of 4. Waitress initially seemed a little off hand but as the evening went on she was pleasant and professional. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.

The menu bypasses the usual French restaurant standards and provides a good range of interesting and well cooked food. Service was excellent. Prices very reasonable and facilities good.

We only had drinks at this restaurant/bar but the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, calling us a taxi on both nights that we had nightcaps there. It was open until 2am and has a great selection of wines by the glass. The cocktails were excellent value too.

It's on the Place du vieux marche so it's very busy. The lamb chops are to die for and we went back to savour them again. The service can be a bit erratic due to the slight lack of staff and the number of customers. We were there to enjoy ourselves so a wait didn't matter - in fact it was good!

Thats one of my Fav' place in Rouen, Perfect to chill at evening in front of a really tasty cocktail made by one of the excellent bartender who work there.fancy place where you still can feel ' at home ' .Often packed with bunch of business people and pretty girls. friendly crowd and staff, nice music with Dj's on week ends.Perfect location right in the historical center of Rouen, nice outdoor terrace ideal for a lunch under the sun or an evening dinner. Tasty food, upscale presentation on the plate for a good price. What else ?

I can only share my personal experience. You might find differently. But on a busy Sunday lunchtime the front of house was run by three people - 2 waiters and a barman- all wearing the distracted look of someone whose mind was elsewhere, They scurried back and forth, out to the terrace, into the kitchen, with a hunted look, knowing that they were well behind with their tasks. Come on management, it is not hard to find staff in a town full of the unemployed, which Rouen is. The food was average, served after a lengthy wait, with little or no charm. The wine list is good, with lots of wines available by the glass.

We were wandering the streets of Rouen after having done the audio tour and picked La Terrasse for dinner primarily because they had a table free. The service was fine and the food a bit above average. I note that there have not been a lot of reviews of this restaurant and wonder why that is since it's been around for at least four years. It was certainly busy the night we were there but perhaps is empty at other times. If you're only going to be in Rouen for one evening, you would probably do better to research restaurants on TA and make a reservation. We obviously did neither. Thanks for reading. If you’ve found this helpful I’ll appreciate a thumbs up below.
