"La Terrace du Petit Palais is one of our regular lunch spots if we have a family gathering in or near Montreux. The service is always professional and usually pleasant. The food is always competent and sometimes wonderful. The wine list is decent, they always have our reserved table ready in our preferred spot, and of course the setting under the canopy at lakes edge is lovely. So it is an easy place to return to.Prices are what you would expect for a decent restaurant attached to a major hotel (the Fairmont Montreux Palace) in Switzerland. Clientele varies, as is the case everywhere in multi-cultural Montreux, so ask if someone is having a large children's birthday party before confirming a quiet lunch à deux. In general weekend lunches are a mix of the very young and the rather older. But weekday lunches are usually a more tranquil affair. And the restaurant is wonderfully placed to reward a healthily paced walk to the Château de Chillon and back.Recommended. (Side note: when it was too warm to sit outside on the Petit Palais terrace we used to sit in the lovely air-conditioned cafe within the main building of the Hotel. But since they have rebranded that the Montreux Jazz Cafe and darkened the decor we have found that less appealing.)"

This restaurant and bar offers the best lake view in the city. Book a table in advance if you want the nice view.

Great view, attentive and friendly staff, extensive menu and overall fabulous experience. I expected it to be way more expensive than it was.

Went for drinks with my wife, enjoyed the location, great view and good atmosphere. Fun place to hang out, especially during the Jazz Festival. Would go the La Terrasse du Petit Palais again anytime! View menu

This is the perfect restaurant for a Sunday lunch in the spring or summer.. The outdoor setting overlooking the lake was beautiful. They have a good menu - and prompt service. We only had salads this time - and they each were beautifully presented.

We had lunch here one day during our stay and enjoyed the experience. The staff were friendly and open air environment with lake views was great.I thought the view from the Hotel Suisse Majestic restaurant was superior given it was higher up and looked over the trees etc

Great place for a night dinner! View on the lake is stunning! The card is inviting... be ready, it is expensive...Staff is young, fun, efficient and friendly; on Thursday night you have live DJI had tagliatelle with sambucca sauce and lobster! My recommendation!!Style is trendy chicLoved it! View menu

Very nice view over lake Geneva.Good service with friendly and professional waiters. We had an excellent octopuss carpaccio as a starter, and "filet de perches" and a seafood risotto as mains - both a bit disappointing. Perches in particular were cooked with too much butter.Prices relatively high, but understandable, given the location.

First class dining experience for lunch, and the prices for he area are moderate. View and decor are outstanding. Good wait staff but I thought the wine list was rather skimpy. No reason in montreux to charge 6.50 chf for a bottle of water though. One less point for that. If you add rolls with he meals water should come too like in Italy where you are given huge bottles of water no charge.
