"my man and I have booked a table for dinner and were informed that we would put ourselves in the house because of the weather conditions that were cold and windy. we arrived and were directed at a table. when I asked the waitress, she said that she was confused. boss and there was actually only one table in the restaurant and it was outside. it would not have been for the fact that we had traveled some distances to reach the restaurant, and there were no other restaurants around, we would have gone. we had no choice but to sit on this table (despite having no jumper/coat to wear) and were said we could move in later. there was no excuse, but a sharp, rude response from the waitress that this was the only table, although we explained that we were sleeping an 8 months old baby in a stroll that would get cold. she couldn't have taken care of less. we ordered and ate our main course outside. after that we asked again if we could move to the house after many people left the restaurant. they told us that the people who had booked for the later evening were sitting inside (the fact that we had also booked to stay inside) was the priority and we have to sit outside in the cold. the waiting employees were incredibly rude and were not apologetic anyway, or the understanding of our situation with a young child. we have never had such a bad restaurant experience or have been treated with such uneasy before. eating was totally subdued and with so many other beautiful restaurants on il de ré I would not waste their time or money here, especially if they have children."

Our airbnb house was around the corner from the Aile de Re restaurant. We watched the clientele every evening and squeezed in a last minute reservation just before the kitchen closed. Very friendly owner (also runs a restaurant in St. Martin de Re helped us...with tools to repair one of our cycles when the pedal came off ;

during a bike ride, next to the mill, you'll find a small restaurant you were, about forty covers. Good welcome, nice boss, on Wednesday evening gambas at will with a delicious dessert: a mirabelle pie, its vanilla ice ball and its chocolate caramel tile for 32,50 euros. A delight of real gambas, very beautiful presentation

Here's an address or we're going very regularly. a nice team and above all a constant quality that we appreciate. a card that changes, however, while retaining the brilliance of mussels, even vanneaux if you are lucky, which still has its unconditionals. My octopus salad was very successful, my bar grilled rather less. prefer the daurade net even if it was well in quantity. Both grilled at the barbecue.

a great little restaurant that is away from the beaten but is worth a visit. it is not huge (maybe 40 covers), so that reservation is recommended definitiw. the homemade apéritif (cognac and pineau) was excellent. the éclade de moules (mussels cooked on a bed of pine needles. in an open fire) was delicious and very demanding. it is worth going for it! I chose the Dessert Winning Games, but after seeing others who had ordered the pain, I decided to do the wrong thing. want to go back and try the unlimited gambas prawns next time!

We spent the last evening of our holidays on the Ile de Re at l'Aile de Re and had a really lovely evening. We were 4 children and 4 adults and we all really enjoyed the food and the welcome. Kids chose from the same menu as the adults but their portions were smaller. The 4 adults chose the 3 course menu and nothing was left on our plates. The owner and the waitress working there that evening were very friendly and efficient. Very good and local food (highly recommend the mussels and the French toasts as a pudding). I will definitely go back next time I am on the island.
