"We Paid a visit on our Wedding Anniversary so It had to be special! And boy was it Special we were greeted by a young lady with the biggest smile and shown to our seat. Ordered our drinks and some Olives which I have to say were some of the best Olives I have had anywhere else in Europe they were in a Chile brine with a orange and Rosemary touch blinking amazing! So I knew we were off to a great start. Followed by Crispy prawns and a Garlic dip with a twist you could eat the hole thing I mean the prawn was hole eyes Head ETC Now that was a first for me but O boy they again were Amazing a first but never a last. Also a shrimp /Chriso flavour dish with a sourdough toast bread again blinking flavour was amazing. So while having this I was slowly getting though a lovely chilled Mexican beer . Then the Main we went for the Duck which was cooked just how you would expect it it nice and pink all the way through with the trimmings I can not praise this place enough in fact we popped back in a few days later just to have some more Olives . So thanks Chef and the Team from the Kitchens Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

I had the brush here and it was excellent. The sourdough bread was thick and tasty and the serrano ham was great. I particularly liked the scrambled egg on the toast. The staff seemed very pleasant and the restaurant was spotless Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is a cozy little restaurant with excellent food. For dinner, I spent around £50–60 per person. Both the food and service were outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. The atmosphere was also enjoyable, rated 5 as well. I highly recommend trying the Deli Olives, Croquettes, Poussin, and the Truffle Sauce with Parmesan.

Excellent restaurant for all times of the day, run by an enthusiastic chef/ owner who changes his menu every few days to keep it fresh and exciting. Limited menu but very interesting dishes and not overpriced like most. Welcoming staff who complete the experience. This is how more restaurants should be run in the post COVID era, will visit again. Recommended if you are in this area and want to avoid rip-off Whitstable. Parking: Outside if you are patient, free also. Visited for my birthday was greeted at the door by a waitress who made you feel welcome from the start ,we sat at the back of the restaurant as it was a bit quieter there. Waiter was attentive very helpful with dishes and recommended dishes too,was served our drinks straightaway and wasn't kept waiting. My partner had sardines for starters which we're so tasty ,I had ciabatta with the melted butter and samphire very delicious, for mains we had the duck and the venison served with the parmasan chips was the best meal out in a long while. Wine was great too. Would highly recommend this restaurant as a great all rounder. Compliments to the chef . Loved the pictures on the wall that the chef pai...

"I used to come here regularly, however on the last visit I noticed something massively with the way it was run both in terms of the food quality and the service levels. We came in as a group of 4 adults and 3 toddlers. Ordered coffees and a few burgers and some prawns on toast. For the most part, the food was good except for 2 of the burgers which were far too overcooked and the guys who ordered ended up only being able to eat a few bites out of them. We informed the waitress who was clearing the table about this. When we went to pay, we said to the waitress at the till that we thought that the 2 burgers should be taken off the bill as they weren’t eaten (the total bill would have still come to over £80) The waitress then went straight to the manager who came over to ask what the problem was. When we told him we were given a response of “well, I’ve had the food here and I can tell you that it’s incredible”. When we said that the burgers were far too overcooked (one beef and one chicken burger) he just said that the chicken has to be cooked through. After arguing that it was just too overcooked and dry, he simply walked away and told the waitress only to remove one of the burgers. I’m not usually one to give poor reviews, but the attitude of the manage alone was completely unacceptable. Having worked in catering and customer service, it is your responsibility to listen to the feedback of your customers, and not to be arrogant or rude. I do hope that no one else is unlucky enough to be faced with this kind of situation, but this was enough for all of us to never return to this place."
