"Lanes is a superb hotel, offering a glamourise and relaxed environment. We were greeted on arrival, and took a seat in the bar/lounge. The waiting/bar staff were attentive to our needs. Walked though to the open stylish dining room, and presented with a lovely Sunday lunch menu, I had pork, mum had fish, BF had beef, all were cooked to perfection. Oh I didn’t tell you this was in a food deal also. Three courses smashed. The only thing that let our experience down was no back ground music, and being a beautiful but large restaurant, at quiet times, some thoughts may need to go into the ambiance. Apart from that. I recommend this as a little gem. I will be back "

Excellent. Very efficient but friendly staff. Food top notch. All together a very pleasant dinner. Will definitely return. Only downside, lighting a bit bright for us.

First class, as soon as we entered the bar we were greeted with a warm welcome, service was first class all the way through. I had the lamb that was new on the menu, it was beautiful and the wife had the beef again first class.

We had afternoon tea that was absolutely fantastic, there was enough for 2 adults and was extremely tastie The hotel was perfect and set up to a high standard and the staff was fabulous and happy to help everyone, it was a great afternoon and we are back???? Thank you.

A great local restaurant great food for a Sunday lunch very reasonable. Lovely service. Light and airy surroundings. We will be back especially for the summer as the grounds look amazing even in winter when we visited. We had roast beef and I had a great cheese board and my friend had a lovely steamed pudding. Great coffees and wine. Great job guys.

my daughter and I enjoyed ostern Sunday lunch in the restaurant today. the menu choices were varied and really interesting, not what would normally be found on such a cheap menu! my daughter had spargel, buratta, olive and polnta chips as starter and we chose both the brat sirloin of bark meat as our main course, which was served with yorkshire pudding and a large selection of well cooked vegetables including a delicious carrot and cauliflower cheese! we were too full for dessert, but would have chosen each of the six options in the offer probably the coconut pinacotta, but we both had a nice coffee. good service attentive and friendly.
