"This used to be a really fine neighborhood Italian family owned and operated, friendly, nice traditional dishes, seasonal. So we went here after a few years to check it out. Unfortunately, it is still popular with the locals but has declined to a pizza place. At least, the non pizza dishes were not very creative, not that well made, and partially really cold. Salmon carpaccio was okay; beef carpaccio had old cheese sprinkles drowning in the pre sprinkled oil; no pepper from the mill or anything else. Involtini cold; pork with mushrooms clearly the best, but the rosemary potatoes and the broccoli with it cold, drowned in fat, and tasteless. The extra ordered pommes with the involtini delicious, and they were not priced additionally. The bruscetta with tomato cubes, a free pre starter, surely the highlight. Prices upper mid range for the area. The service was really slow and very badly coordinated; they could not cope with one giant local family's party and additional tables. The senior owner grouchy to the point of hostile; he's a good reason to avoid the place. Otherwise, as a serious neighborhood pizza (as Germans call pizza joints), still acceptable I think; as a neighborhood Italian restaurant, maybe it'll regain ground again at some point in the future."

Bochum is a vibrant city in Germany's Ruhr area, known for its rich industrial history and cultural venues. A typical dish is the hearty "Currywurst," a spiced sausage in curry sauce.
