Le Bistrot Des Globe-Trotteurs

I had the "plat du jour" in le Bistrot Des Globe Trotteur for my lunch when I first arrived in Bordeaux. I recomend it. Service was great, the place is lovely and it is a good value for money

Excellent service, fantastic food. This restaurant was near our place of accommodation and was recommended by a local. Prices are reasonable, different type of food (fusion French and all influences from the owners travel around the world. It was a fantastic experience.

The evening started well with a great friendly welcome by our waiter and 2 very deliceous glasses of Sangria. Every course we had was deliceous and presented well. The king prawn stir fry mains was a delight. And so for that matter was my tiramisu. An eclectic mix of foods from around the world that really works. Do try this restaurant it's fab.

We had a great evening here. The service was great, the cocktails potent and the food was genuinely superb. We all had different dishes and everyone was excellent. The tomato mozzarella salad with raspberry was delicious. The chicken cauliflower risotto amazing. What a find - superb ingredients - no cutting corners and a real balance of flavour. Try it you will not be disappointed.

We had many very good meals in Bordeaux, but the friendly service and excellent cuisine in this bistrot was the best (for lunch; we would have readily returned for dinner). Portion sizes were just right, and the menu was excellent value. Mini-fish cakes, slow-cooked chicken, and a lemon dessert were all fine; our other main was a well-prepared steak. Two glasses of wine and two coffees: all for under 50 Euros for two.

I was also a member of the group of ladies on the cycling holiday mentioned in the previous review and can definitely endorse the comments made. I had booked the restaurant after reading the good reviews and had asked if a birthday cake could be provided. The waiter really looked after our group of 12 and the service was exceptional. The food was some of the best I've tasted and the cake was amazing both to look at and to eat!! I would definitely return if ever in Bordeaux again!

We chose Le Bistrot Des Globe-Trotteurs of course after reading reviews her on trip. We stayed in Bordeaux for 6 days, and chose different restaurant for both lunch and dinner every day. Le Bistrot Des Globe-Trotteurs was definitely the best choice throughout the entire stay. The food was excellent, and the menu intriguing compered to others. The waiter was friendly, attentive and cheerful. The interior design was also somewhat different. This created a good atmosphere and a very pleasant evening. In other words a highly recommendable restaurant.

We ate at this restaurant with my brother and sister in law and nephew after an Exeter Chiefs vs Bordeaux rugby match. We were already on form as Exeter Chiefs won! But the evening in this restaurant was like the cherry on the cake of a great day. Fabulous choice of food, difficult to make the choice! But we werent disappointed once we finally came down on our choice and tasted it. Gorgeous right through from the starter to the dessert and choice of wine. To top it all off the welcome and service was perfect. The owner was incredibly welcoming, passionate about what he does, fun and on top of that spoke perfect English with us. I would defininetely recommend this restaurant and go back again...

Went to Les Bistro with my wife for her Birthday. Had a reservation even though it was not needed as it's currently really quiet in Bordeaux (holiday season). Our host read what was on offer and explained each dish to us as the menu was in French. He was most welcoming and was very friendly.The food was simply heaven. For starters we had crab and seared beef which were delectable and lovely soft bread as nibbles. Jamie (my wife) and I had the same main. It was melt in the mouth pork with sweet potato crisps and small dollops of guacamole. For dessert we had a strawberry crumble and a chocolate cake with a gooey chocolate centre.
