We stumbled across this wonderful place after walking from the louvre to montmartre and looking for a place to rest. Had Perrier, a glass of wine, the Nordic salad (smoked salmon and shrimp)…our waiter sympathized and joked with me when I told him “Mon francais es limité”., very friendly. We sat outside above the stairs on the side street away from the hustle and bustle; a very relaxing break before the next leg of our walk.

Habitués de l'endroit car en bas de la maison, quelle ne fût pas notre surprise de constater une augmentation indécente des prix des consommations (environ +30% du fait du récent changement de propriétaire. On avait une belle brasserie de quartier avec sa clientèle habituelle, une bonne ambiance et chacun se connaissait. Pas de chichis, pas de manière... Désormais on ne peut que déplorer un changement de clientèle, une terrasse qui n'affiche pas complet et un service guindé... Dommage...

Le restaurant a été racheté. Nous avons beaucoup perdu car il y avait vraiment du choix, des formules très intéressantes et des prix très compétitifs. Là c 'est une petite carte, un seul plat du jour sans même la possibilité de changer de garniture... les éternels burgers. Les salades sont bonnes mais pas copieuses. Les desserts sont excellents. Nous avons aussi perdu l 'équipe de serveurs qui étaient au petit soin... il reste très peu de personnes de l 'ancienne brigade. Je sais bien qu 'il faut se roder ! c 'est une clientèle de quartier, qui aime bien être dans ses marques avec une cuisine française traditionnelle et généreuse. Bonne chance aux nouveaux.
