"Arrived on a Friday in Sancerre for a wine weekend. Found the restaurant through the good references on Tripadvisor. The restaurant is out of the Sancerre touristic center. Approx 3km driving. Located in an old house. The maître welcomed us with full passion and presented the menu on a board. He made the right suggestions with first poached eggs in red wine sauce. It doesn’t sound a culinary experience but we can report that this was an incredible dish full of taste. A famous local French dish. Followed by the specialty of the house coq au vin and we finished with a dessert Peach poached in red wine. So we had a true wine menu. Quite heavy stuff but sooo tasty. The maître entertained the entire restaurant and offered us at the end a home Made digestif. He recommended us Some wineries for the day after. We can recommend this place for any visitor to sancerre. You will enjoy it!"

"We dine the restaurant Le Chat on a Saturday evening, warm welcome, decoration centered around the wine. Very beautiful map, an elaborate kitchen that fits all diets. An effective service, all the dishes we have been able to eat have been refined and delicious (Speciality for dessert financing). The list of wines is very provided. We had a good time."

"Good reception malgress our arrival on the limit of the hour. A little room that doesn't pay a mine. Great pizzas. I jumped between two and asked the waitress who helped me: a slaughter. A well-filing mozzarella, a creamy gorgonzola. A fine and crispy paste. And the booth a tit ball so he inflated. 13€ on average on pizza. Excellent quality. We recommend."

"Un endroit où se poser pour se restaurer tout en profitant d'une vue agréable sur le Loire, fleuve majestueux. Le personnel est attentionné et l’accueil dans son ensemble souriant. Le cadre charmant, malgré une décoration un peu intemporelle, fait qu'on y est bien. La cuisine nous laisse perplexe, même si les produits sont frais et les parts amplement suffisantes. En été, nous n'avons pas envie de plats en sauce traditionnels du coup, les menus ne nous faisaient pas envie, on a pris juste sur le pouce et à la carte, à notre goût.... la salade de crottin grillé (un simple chèvre chaud) et jambon de Sancerre ( la tranche était vraiment trop petite) reste passable, à la carte un rapport qualité/prix qui laisserait espérer beaucoup mieux, (ce sont les prix pratiqués dans la région qui sont souvent excessifs de façon générale, en comparaison avec par exemple avec le Périgord ou même le Sud). En même temps, la mise en bouche était très savoureuse ; donc à voir, si une autre fois nous avons envie de goûter plus avant la cuisine mais là, nous sommes plutôt sur l'impression, on n'a pas spécialement envie d'y revenir, parce que même une salade peut nous enchanter, et là.... Cependant, nos voisins de table semblaient apprécier la cuisine régionale et familiale... Nous avons été étonnées de voir un autre restaurant à côté, nous pensions qu'il s'agissait de l'unique terrasse."

"very kind and close to the customer, wines of very good quality and we had very good advice to choose them according to our dishes. very interessing taste experience, the chef with inspirations that know how to wake up taste buds (canette and hot melon balls)! In addition, the menus change according to the periods and the ingredients are of good quality (the bacon that surrounded my hot goats was not full of fat).
