"We spent lunch at Couzeix in this establishment. We took the full day formula with entry, dish and dessert for 14,50 €. In the beginning, we had the choice between charcuterie plates or campagnard salad, for the chicken dish green lemon sauce or pork sauce and dessert chocolate mousse or pear pie amandine or apple pie or homemade fruit salad. Everything was good and efficient service. For the price, everything was correct and we recommend this restaurant."

Nice welcome. We took the full day formula. It was very good and very hearty. We were able to change the entrance that wasn't right for us, without surplus. I recommend

We had lunch in this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. Good service, good food, a grilled veal tendon with gouty vegetables, a restaurant where one can stop without fear

We expected better! Some good products anyway :le beef fillet. I'd have preferred foie gras without that big fig in the middle. Disappointing gourmet coffee! At 25€50 the menu can do better.

A good restaurant without more... The reception is correct but lacks heat. The kitchen is good but lacks originality. The value/price ratio is correct without more. In conclusion, a good restaurant in the average!!!!

An exceptional meal for an evening at the top! The dishes are well presented, the plates are hearty and flavor level, nothing to say, the food is excellent. In addition, the staff is charming which makes the visit even more enjoyable. Thanks for that moment, we'll be back.

My wife and I are going to the 1st faith this summer 2016, since we return there regularly, the menus for lunch are of good quality for less than 15€ with coffee, and the map very well: meat and fish, big salads etc., nice service, an exceptional dessert : The meadow , huge, with salty caramel ice cream, effiled almonds and whipped ....humm too good

Proper home, large room with an antique but hot decoration, small pleasant terrace but smokers become invaders very quickly. The servers are pleasant but especially there is an extra chef. I went there three times and from the dessert I enjoyed myself. It is well, well presented, the flavors are granted and the desserts made by the chef are really good. I recommend and I'll be right back.

A somewhat old but pleasant setting of a former rather large hotel; the rooms are clean and sleep of good quality. Welcome and very friendly staff. Simple restoration based on excellent products, we ate very well and if the opportunity comes we will return to it without hesitation. A reproach, the heating is poorly purged and the piping quite noisy, one can hope that this small problem (signaled will quickly be solved.

"Only just of the beaten track which makes parking much easier! This restaurant is expensive in relation to others but is good value considering the quality and service. The menu takes a bit of working out as prices for steak are quoted by weight (multiples of 100gms) and the minimum weight you can order is also stated. To make matters more complicated you can also chose how many weeks the meat has been matured for. Whether you choose Classic or 4 week mature, the quality is all good and extremely well cooked. Even meat cooked very rare is melting. This is a "proper" steak restaurant so make sure you go for the steak. There are fixed price menus but I would keep it simple. Steak, chips with its side of vegetables. Pork and lamb is also available and there is a concession to non-meat eaters in the form of a mushroom omelette. I am sure it is delicious ......Wine is also priced at the top end and excellent. . House wine is also very acceptable.Whenever we have visited the clientele have been all French from the professional classes who are there to see and be seen. Its fascinating ! One little niggle. At the price, the amuse bouche could have been more exciting than a thin slice of fairly mundane salami with a chunk of bread. For faux filet (250 gms) and a large entrecote steak (450 gms) , with a bottle of AC Beaujolais the bill will be around 70 Euros. A starter and pud could increase that by at least 20 Euros. Nevertheless, recommended for the quality, service and ambience. The staff are really charming."
