"J 'ai mangé des pâtes à la Bolognaise, la sauce était farineuse et très ordinaire. À ma demande, on m 'a servi du parmesan mais en petites lamelles, du parmesan râpé aurait été plus approprié. On est bien loin de la cuisine italienne. Mon mari a pris le jambon braisé sauce forestière qu 'il a trouvé très moyen. Cuisine de cantine , nous n 'y retournerons pas."

"En ayant réservé à l'avance pour un groupe d'une petite dizaine de cyclistes, nous avons eu un espace et une grande table pour nous. Très bon accueil même si nous étions mouillés. Service efficace et avec le sourire. Nous avons tous aimé nos plats et desserts des propositions du jour, que ce soit fish and chips, lasagnes, pizzas. Cela nous a bien requinqué pour le retour."

"We had a pleasant time at the Volterra. No surprise on the map, faithful to what we expect from a pizzeria in France. We still note a lot of choices and nice tasting invitations on pasta and pizza. Prices are affordable. Our choice has focused on pizza, it is large with a very fine and crispy paste, the products are of quality, there is taste and flavors. We are in the classicism of restoration, in the presentation as in the service. We removed a star because of the service precisely, the welcome is courteous, no more. The service is organized and no mistake is to be regretted. The loss of the star is mainly due to the pace of service, with dead times and attention to the client. But nothing abnormal in the center of Finistère, the search for customer satisfaction is often not taken into account and the customer experience is often an unknown concept in these countryside villages. For example, you will not be asked if you have had a good time when if your meal enjoyed you...I recommend the place with two tips, book and don't be too busy."

"I think this must be a new start up as I am gobsmacked that there are no reviews already here. We went on a Wednesday Night and it was very quiet. Wednesday is a quiet day in Brittany as all the kids are off school...and we could not find a taxi in the area for love or money. We were a bit dubious about entering as aside from a few people at the bar the place was very quiet but as it was already 8pm a team decision was made to give it a whirl and I am so glad we did. The levels of cleanliness and service were of the highest order and the friendly welcome we received was outstanding. You will need a smattering of French or a dictionary at least here as English is not a strong point but it added to the fun (and two or three of us are fairly fluent or fluid as it turned out). The starters wonderful snails, scallops and goat's cheese certainly grabbed everyone's attention and after a long day on the sunny coast we were more than ready for the mains, Wonderful duck, steak and tuna steak dishes appeared with generous salads (or seasonal vegetables where requested) and brilliant new potatoes. An absolute pleasure! Most everyone was happy with that, and carafe after carafe of excellent wines continued to our table long after the official closing time of 9pm. The two of our party who had sweets thoroughly enjoyed them and I feel we who went without missed a treat! Although we ended up as the only diners our evening did sot suffer for this brilliant unobtrusive AOR in the background, the flow of excellent food and wine, and the happy conversations of old friends reuniting in the foreground! The bill when it came was most reasonable. A great night in an outstanding restaurant would love to go back when it's packed. That will be soon, as, I was so taken with Brittany I am in the process of pulling stumps and retiring there! Need I say more don't miss this place see you there. Oh and the final bonus for the French staff and us English customers alike was that news filtered through that Spain were out of the World Cup as well so suddenly it was not quite so embarrassing to have an English accent!"
