"We very very disappointed by the attitude taken by the staff here. My wife visited the day before to make a reservation for the following day. all done in French, the following day when we arrived we were shown to a non reserved table, which was to small for the four of us and my granddaughter. Although there was a table for 5 reserved at the front of the restaurant. My son in law did heard a comment about these British people. I am throughly disappointed by this attitude, As I would hate to think that the French would get this reception when visiting Scotland. I and my family have stayed in Asquins on several occasions and have always be welcomed. With the fact that this restaurant is in a tourist location, you would think that all nationalities would be welcome."

Everything is good for a brewery that the Personnelles are nice and discreet. The meals of his good we have nothing to say the desserts of his good and the wine is satisfied with the time spent in this establishment.

We stopped in here for lunch while wandering the streets of Vezelay. The place was full and we snared the last open table. We patiently waited to place our order as the wait staff dealt with the busy crowd. We ordered one croque madam and one croque monsieur sandwich. Both were delicious. No one spoke English but we managed to order and enjoy our meal.

All that is said here is what I felt: the friendship of the welcome despite the end of the hour (post14h), we are made a place despite the world, the fast and pleasant service, the non-industrial family kitchen (good omelettes), attracts tourists and vezelians. I add: the establishment hides inside with many historical posters of venzel, and a boss who holds his home. good surprise in a very tourist environment, to recommend warmly.

In a very touristy village like Vézelay, we found the right price, around €50-55 for 2 main courses desserts coffees and a beer) The restaurant is really not big, reservations are strongly recommended. We had a dog, all the places on the terrace were reserved but we were allowed to eat inside, we thank them for that. The manager seems rough and unfriendly at first glance, but that's her way of being and is not unpleasant at all. The dishes were good, but we found the plates a little light. I ordered a Chaource salad €12 from memory), very good but just lettuce, a little raw vegetables and 3 slices of toast. It lacked a little consistency.
