"we had reserved for the weekend brunch wall served between 11am and 2pm. We were very well welcomed and placed under a pretty table erected in the garden in the shade. The brunch inside as a free buffet service is high-end and very provided. Here you will find pastries, different breads, gluten-free cakes, charcuterie, salad, scrambled eggs, mignardises and sweet verrins (chocolate mousse, chocolate opera, lemon pie). fruit salad, large choice of teas, herbal teas, coffee, cereals and fresh fruit juice. Only one regret for me I have not seen any cheese yet it is something quite common in the brunches.Buffet how constantly refilled and friendly and professional staff. I recommend this brunch which is of a correct price 20€."

a beautiful modern place and a somewhat eclectic decor for a mercury, meals without chichis but tasty, service very appreciable

lunch under the palm trees. quiet and relaxing place. The kitchen is good and the staff is lovely. a little expensive lunch in my opinion! View menu

The dining room is modern, bright (with views to the garden) and the food is well-presented and tasty. If the weather had been better during our whole stay, we'd loved to have lunch during so we could enjoy the gorgeous garden setting, where meals can be served.

ideally located restaurant in the heart of the hotel mercury and in the heart of the city of Angouleme. Smiling and pleasant server. relatively fast service. good value quality for dishes. I strongly advise the cheese plate with three small pieces that we found the next morning in the breakfast dishes.

a couple, at noon after a tiring shopping session ... a real pleasure to sit in a charming courtyard under a parasol. a beautiful formula, that of very complete plates, at 14,50 €, either flat entry for 19,50 €, and if dessert, 25,50 €. Modern cuisine, excellent, but a little reproach: no wine in pichet! The staff is young, attentive and discreet. So very good address! View menu

"I had not intended eating out as I had had a decent and large picnic. It was the weekend of the Circuit des Remparts so every where was packed. The 'Bistroc' was equally busy but I saw rognons de veau on the menu ('Carte') so I asked if they could serve me. They said there would be a long delay but I could sit at the bar and have a drink if I didn't mind waiting. As I had time on my hands I was quite content to sit with a beer reading a book. Eventually after half an hour i was approached by one of the two (I presume ) owners and asked if I had ordered. I said not and he proclaimed himself 'desolee' taking my order. 10 or 15 minutes later I was presented with a magnificent steak - I think a cote de beouf - which I would have readily tucked into. Sadly not what I had ordered. More apologies and eventually the rognons de veau arrived. Nicely cooked, no sauce but good 'frites' and salad. I completed the meal with cafe gourmand, not spectacular but perfectly acceptable. When the bill arived they did not charge me for either my beer or the wine with my meal - quite unnecessary but hey insisted. This place is an old fashioned grill with great atmosphere - aided or hindered by two children of one or both of the patron(ne)s who raced around the place chasing each other and flirting with custommers. High quality food unpretentiously cooked. although I concede not cheap.Despite being rushed off their feet the two front of house staff I assume, the owners made every possible effort to make the cusommmers welcome.A very enjoyable evening."
