"This is a very lovely pub with fires in both rooms. The girls who served us were very friendly and the food was really good with large portions. But sadly they didn't have any gf bread which they said they did , so I couldnt haven't any of the starters I wanted which was all I wanted to eat. Also we were charged £2.50 for a hot water with lemon which I felt was very steep (which I have never bn charged for be4 anywhere else). Its a shame as we had to argue to take this off the bill and the attitude we got from the manger was shocking. Its really sad as I would recommend this place on lots of levels but because of having to argue about the lemon which was very short sighted of her as we definitely would have gone back and as my friend lives close she would of gone back too. If money is an issue I suggested charging for the cauliflower cheese as this is an added bonus people would pay extra for. I wish you well but dropping the attitude will help alot with your customer facing business."

Very friendly and welcoming pub. The staff were very accommodating to our little granddaughter. The food was excellent, home cooked and delicious. Lovely village pub which is well loved and used by the locals. Lovely old building and great staff.

Very disappointing! My husband ordered the Cod dish off the Valentines menu, the piece of cod loin was about 2” a very small portion. The chicken supreme with white sauce was terrible I couldn’t eat it. The sauce was paprika and the chicken coated in a Cajun seasoning! Definitely not a chicken supreme! They did not charge for this! Would not recommend this place! View menu

Lovely pub in the picturesque Welsh countryside. Welcoming, friendly staff and decent prices. We went for a wedding and didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food they serve but the hot buffet they did for the wedding was nice. They also served ale at the appropriate temperature so extra props for that. Well worth a visit if you are in this part of the country.

Lovely little find down a country lane. We were staying 4 miles away and with nothing local and no take away deliveries in the area we came across the Leyland Arms. We were welcomed and opted to sir outside. Service was efficient and friendly. We ordered a bottle of wine and starter/main and the food was incredible. The steak was cooked to perfection and those chips... to die for. We sat outside in the sun with animals in the back field it was all very idyllic. Couldn't praise this place enough and we will definitely be returning when we are in the area.

"Went for afternoon tea with my wife, using an 'experience ' voucher from a well known site, costing £35.99 absolute disaster! The description said 'sit down in the sophisticated dining room and tuck into a section of finger sandwiches, tantalising cakes, pastries, macarons and scones with clotted cream and jam. You won 't want this afternoon to end! ' Trust me, we could not get out of their quick enough and go and find somewhere to get something to eat. The sophisticated dining room was a large, cold room with only a couple of other diners, sticky wooden tables, with no table cloths, just a flimsy paper napkin and a knife and fork. We ordered a coffee and a tea, which came in the smallest teapot, I have ever seen. Later in the meal, when we asked for another drink, we were told that was extra and were charged another £5.70. The food was nothing like as described or pictured on the website. A sad looking selection of sandwiches four quarters each of thin sliced bread one containing a very small piece of processed ham, a second mashed up egg, third was some sort of fish, not sure if it was salmon or tuna; and finally some sort of green leaf with something wet on top it looked like the sandwich had been made days earlier and then sat upon! No pastries or macarons but the two scones with clotted cream and two little pots of jam were OK, however the remaining small cakes were dreadful, none of them were fresh there were two eclairs that were inedible, either the cream or chocolate was off and they were very dry; two little red velvet cakes, which again were dry and horrible; and finally two small pieces of carrot cake that were the least objectionable but again very dry. When we told the waitress the eclairs, she said she would tell the chef but no offer of an alternative. True, it was an unforgettable experience, but not in the way we had expected! We have had afternoon teas in top hotels, pubs, cafes and well known garden centres and nothing came close to being as bad as this meal. Needless to say we will never return and would strongly advise caution if anyone is thinking of going here."
