"We tried this place on a whim - having been to most of the 'up market' restaurants in town we fancied a bit of culinary exploring this particular evening amongst the smaller restaurants away from the town centre, and we were not disappointed. My wife had an excellent sea bass, probably almost double the usual restaurant size, and I had a paella which was both delicious and huge - couldn't eat it all despite my best efforts! Went back a few weeks later with relatives and they all had the excellent sea bass again and I had one of the best rib-eye steaks I've had in a long time. It's a leisurely meal, mainly because it's the owners who do the work, one front of house and the other in the kitchen, but they make sure everything is just right"

Nice place and food is good here. And great location just near the beach, you possible go get a sunbath and come here for dinner.

We had dinner here purely because a lady walking past said it was great, and when we looked in the window, a diner saw us and put his thumb up. Great service and excellent food. Will come again Paul and Genevieve Wilkins

We visited thanks to other recommendations and were very impressed. Good range of choices, good service, simple pleasant ambience. Delicious quality food, including wonderful quiche lorraine; ravioli with foie gras, truffes etc; poisson du jour, lotte; plat du jour, sardines. Will certainly return! View menu

This place is popular among the locals, and the quality of the food told us why. The wine list is very good, and you can buy glasses of wine. The fish was very nice. The locals are bringing their dogs when they go out eating. The result was a lot of dog noise, which I don't like when I'm enjoying a good meal.

Everything from the reservation and the accommodation for time and pre-order to the service, the food (generous and delicious) and the very reasonable price was perfect! Never expected to find this across the beach in a touristic area, where tourists are almost always ripped off by being served poor food at outrageous prices! Would rate it 6 stars if available! My bad, I'll never learn sometimes it's better not to finish all I have in the plate. How will I be able to go to the beach now that my belly is double of its usual size?Amazing food, not too expensive (not that cheap either), but you really walk away satisfied and your "Merci beaucoup" is meaningful. The place itself is simple, you might be able to get to know your neighbours if you wish, I mean, you can really enjoy dinner here.Highly recommended! This lovely restaurant, one of many across from sea, is run by a very nice couple. She's the cook and does an excellent job. I was hungry and dying for escargot; they were plump and tender. Could have had a little more garlic. With the bread served is would have made a great lunch. But I was hungry and ordered the fish of the day, St Peter's fish, grilled and served on mashed potatoes and carrots. So good, I ate it all. But there was no room for dessert...this timeLots of people were having mussels, and I'm going to try that next time.

We had to cut our lunch meal short due to an unexpected work phone call, but in the short time we were in L'Horizon we came to appreciate what a special place it is. We've been eating out in Antibes and Juan Les Pins for over ten years and only recently stumbled across this place. What a gem, we will be back many times for sure. Just goes to prove that old adage, that if you are tucked away from the main tourist centre areas you have to try harder. Although the restaurant is on the sea front, it is a 5 minute walk from the main tourist areas around the famous Pam Pam bar. Just head towards Golfe Juan and its on the right hand side of the road opposite the public beach. Highly recommended.

"In this location, surrounded as it is with large restaurants spilling out onto the pavement with their me-too menus of les pizzas and pâtes and overly familiar sounding meals, it is most unexpected to find a bespoke and personal restaurant offering a fine selection of dishes cooked with care. The menu, described appropriately as the 'carte du moment' presents a mercifully small number of seasonal and therefore changing entrées, plats and desserts. However, it is still hard to choose. Each one is enticing, interesting and original with the promise of flavours, combinations of ingredients and textures, without tricks and unnecessary embellishment. For a large number, a selection of all the entrées as share dishes makes a lot of sense. Everyone gets a taste of something and the difficulty of having to choose is avoided. For the plats, a single selection is best with pork, duck, tuna and salmon along with risotto as options on the night we were there. A fine burger also available is perhaps a concession to the location and, actually, a very fine dish. Four desserts are offered with each one tempting and beautifully prepared. Another selection for the table is highly recommended. The wine list is adequate and the ambiance works for lone dining as well as for a larger and more raucous group. The service is smiling and efficient as well as courteous. This is a place to make a favourite. The risk to this reviewer is that it will become deservedly highly popular and impossible for last minute bookings."
