Great food, service was slow as there was only 2 barmaids on. Had the fillet steak and apparently it was 8oz but clearly was about a 5oz at best.

First visit impressed with overall look of the place. Food was good staff were attentive and efficient. Overall a really good experience will definitely go back .

Horrible service, do NOT recommend. Table booked for 5pm with pre-ordered meals, and we were sat still waiting for starters over 1 and a half hours later at 6.30. Ended up walking out and got fed elsewhere. Will never return and will tell people to AVOID.

took 25 minutes to get served a drink. An hour after arriving a food came. We were told that this was because they were very busy upstairs and downstairs. The potato skins for starters were disappointing as they were not crispy at all. However, three out of the four main course meals were very enjoyable. The meat pizza, Prawn Linguine, and chorizo pasta dishes were all of good quality and tasty. Unfortunately, the burger was overcooked and had to be left uneaten. The restaurant had a good selection of lagers and beers on tap, as well as reasonably priced gin and rum. Overall, our experience was average and I would not be in a hurry to return.

I would recommend this restaurant based on my previous experience with their delicious food, although I am hoping that my recent visit was just a one-time issue. We waited a long time for our drinks, and even when we asked for a pot of tea to be served with a meal, it only arrived after we had finished eating. There were only two staff members taking orders and serving, so it was difficult to find someone when needed. However, I was thankful that they allowed us to order a smaller portion of fish and chips for my father-in-law, who has a smaller appetite. They are currently offering ‘up to 50% off’ all food for January (of course, the words ‘up to’ are far smaller than the rest, so that the deal appears to be half price food, when it isn’t). In fact, the only items that have 50% off are potato skins and a side salad. Everything else is discounted by much, much less. It’s also a different menu to the one advertised online. Regardless of this, the food was inedible. Everything was coated in salt, to the point that we had to order pints of water because our throats were sore.
