"We went there several months ago to test the Pekinese duck in 2 services and we had left the service a little disappointed. a real say we are accustomed to a large starred Chinese restaurant that makes my sense the best pekinian betting duck. We could expect it a little too much.Brussel we decided to reiterate the experience and leave a chance to the lily to reveal all the splendour of a Peninsula. Here are my comments:the cut:- the duck was present to us in full with the visible head (it's a choice but we prefer it to be masked by a towel)- during the cut of the duck we almost saw nothing. as the tables are close enough and there were customers all around us, the people who have been able to see the cut are the customers on the tables that give on the service path. the first service: positive point- we found very interesting to have different cuts in the plate (crusting skin and pieces with skin flesh)- the duck alone was very good- the variety of vegetables proposed to put in the pan was very interesting negative:- the big black point for me was the pancakes. crêpes are simple crêpe à la française (version petit format). I know that this kind of crepes doesn't exist. Maybe the restaurant wanted to adapt to the French taste? if this is the case in my sense there is an inconsistency with the positioning of the restaurant. In short to come back to the pancakes, I would say they were really not very good. - the duck sauce was interesting but we knew better it's really bad because the sauce and pancakes are so important in the first service that if everything is not perfect, the duck taste is spoiled. I ended up eating the duck only second service:- very good surprise! The duck crunch was really great and we had a rice for accompanied that was perfect. Fortunately we did not finish on a good note ):ps: other points that made the difference during our meal:- service was a bit "brut. it was lacking a bit of finesse (this is not the case for other hotel restaurant/bar)- the decor is really sumptuousI hope to have been constructive. Maybe we'll try the restaurant again but choosing different dishes."
