Little Italy is a cute little restaurant nestled in the side of the hill on the sea front promenade. It serves delicious home cooked Italian food suitable for all the family. With views out over Roker pier and the expansive and beautiful sea burn beach....What more could you want?

We found the staff to be very friendly and attentive but the food was very bland and flavourless. We ordered a bottle of white wine and we were surprised to be served a branded bottle which can be bought from the supermarket across...the road!! All in all we were very disappointed with our visit as we have had much, much better meals here previously.

We made our first visit to this restaurant last night, and our second visit tonight. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The food is cooked to order and expertly presented. We were completely satisfied on both occasions, and thoroughly enjoyed the food and surroundings....We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and thank them for their excellent service. Our family comprises members varying from to in age, with highly varied tastes. We forwarded our choices in advance and all choices were ready together minutes after arrival. Everyone was delighted with the quantity and quality of the food and the...efficiency and unfussiness of the service. There was a good selection of sweets and, for a Yorkshireman, the final bill was a pleasant surprise

At first sight you might mistake this for a beach café, shuttered and half –hidden under the promenade. That would be a big mistake – this is a proper Italian restaurant with a good variety of meat and fish dishes, pizza, pasta, starters, desserts….. On...a recent evening visit there was a very pleasant atmosphere, excellent food, friendly service, and all at a very reasonable price. Recommended.

A little late Birthday Celebration for my self from my partner We thought we would give somewhere else ago (other than our normal venue) Big Mistake Starters Mushrooms Some soggy mess with a bit of Salad leaf Prawns not cooked well terrible no flavour saue...Mains Pizza rock hard Prawns (looked like they had been cooked in a dishwasher (sauce the same as was on Mushrooms Abrupt non attentive staff Left main and was. refunded Was tod next time the King Prawns would be Fresh ??? Was told as you can see we are busy!!!! Yes and we were hungry So off we went home for Toasties View menu
