Been twice and food is excellent BYOB is also an added bonus. Sweet potato recommended. A small menu , but encouraged to call to reserve.

I had another fantastic lunch at lo cal. The ingredients were fresh, the meal was healthy and filling, which is exactly what Shotts needs. I tried the special of the day, the chicken tikka kebab, and it was delicious. View menu

We ate from the lunch menu today. The food was great and had been made fresh very good value as most of the lunch menu is under £5. The service was very attentive and the owner spoke to us throughout and was lovely. We will definitely return to try the dinner menu which looks amazing!

We went here today for the first time. We all really enjoyed it. The food is prepared and cooked to order and tastes very fresh. The menu isn't too extensive but I still took a while to make up my mind what to have as all the options sounded good. The staff were friendly and attentive. Reasonably priced too. Makes a real change to be able to go out for dinner and have a decent healthy meal. The decor is nice too. We will definitely be back.

Finally something different in Shotts some mostly loved dishes with an healthy twist. Low fat reduced salt but super tasty sauces and salads to accompany perfectly cooked mains. Do not expect the usual chips but amazing sweet potatoes fries, or side of rice and vegetables. Absolutely go even for a slice of cake and coffee in the afternoon, coffee beans are top quality (I lived in Italy so trust me) and staff well trained to use their shiny new machine. Our daughters surprised us with an afternoon tea delivery today, and it was fantastic. The food was fresh and included mini pies, wraps, rolls, quiche, side salad, and delicious pastries. It has been quite some time since we have been able to visit the restaurant, especially with the current lockdown due to COVID-19. However, this delivery was a pleasant surprise. We can't wait to visit with my wife and granddaughter Emma, who loves Lo Cal Kitchen, as soon as they are able to reopen after the lockdown.

Had heard people who are into healthy eating and fitness talk about this place and seen Facebook posts about it which made me visit for a takeaway, Food was brilliant and fresh made, Staff were very nice and approachable, When it comes to eating out i am very fussy but i would have no hesitation sitting in here as the restaurant was spotless Will definitely be back here, Can't fault anything about the takeaway and all-round experience, 10/10.. Would even go a step further by saying its better than some of the main healthy restaurants in Glasgow/Edinburgh

I visited this restaurant for the first time in 50 years. It used to be a bookmakers, but has since been transformed into an eating establishment. In the past, I avoided it due to poor decor and unappetising food. However, after a recommendation from my daughters and a friend's mother, I decided to give it a try with my granddaughter. I was pleasantly surprised by the changes that had been made. The decor is now up to date, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The menu is extensive, offering a variety of options including steaks, burgers, Mexican and Italian dishes, as well as a good children's menu. They also offer online ordering for takeaway.
