"The Lord Roberts has long been a favourite place of ours for brunch, tea or just a cake coffee after a walk around the Web Estate but they started to do evening meals recently so we gave it a try. The new owners (from mid 2023 I think) bring a Lebanese twist to the Lord Roberts and so it's not surprising that dinner is Lebanese only cuisine. The menu is quite limited, which we really like, but it's all home cooked and caters for veggies and meat eaters alike. Our visit was a Friday night and we were the only patrons (only been doing dinner for a few weeks so the word is out there much) but it didn't matter because the nature of the place is that it feels cosy and vert welcoming. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and although they are just finding their feet they laid on a lovely meal and spent time with us explaining the origin of the dishes etc. I'm trying to remember what we had (the menu isn't online yet) Tabbouleh (salad with bulgur), Baba Ghanouj (aubergine dip), Humus, Lamb Kibbeh, Lamb Kafta, Batata Harra and I'm sure there were a couple of other pastry things that wrapped lamb or cheese. All of it was great, portions were generous and the quality of the ingredients super fresh. The only thing to note: there is wine, beer and cider available but it's all non alcoholic and although we had a crack at most, it was all a little sweet. I don't know if they would allow BYO with/without corkage but I would suggest asking when you book."

A great location adjacent to Woodcote Village Green. What a lovely cafe,we enjoyed Eggs Royal and a Full English Breakfast, friendly owners. Will certainly be coming back again.

I went there today with my friend and it was a very friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious and the drinks are too. Friendly staff and am looking forward to going again soon!

Do not eat here. Over priced and honestly rubbish food. The bacon and sausages are beef. That’s only stated on the menu for the bacon. Shoddily presented two measly skinny sausages shoved into a dry bap for £8.95! Robbery! It’s a shame every new owner...

Another fabulous Afternoon tea had on 14th December. Fantastic food, amazing service and such a pleasant atmosphere. Special order re sandwiches was fulfilled perfectly. I cannot stress how much I recommend this place for an afternoon tea. Anyone who says to me they are looking for somewhere, this is the first place I suggest. Come along and give them a try, you will not be disappointed

The owner was pressuring us to leave a good review despite the poor derives and experience we received. Such a shame to see how much this place has deteriorated. We used to enjoy frequenting here but the service under the new owner is very poor. The staff made quite a fuss when we asked to swap the egg out for a vegetarian meal. Staff were not friendly or welcoming yet social media posts paint a very different picture.

Once you visit here you will be booking it up weekly like me. The venue is a pretty quaint cottage building housing a fantastic floral ambience various eating areas from inside conservatory outside covered terrace and garden seating. I honestly can’t stay away with such a vast menu choice. It’s a menu I intend to work my way through. The venue is licensed so special occasions can be celebrated in style. There’s many mocktails to chose from to keep everyone hydrated. Plenty of beverages on offer hot cold to wash the many cakes down aswell. You are served with much professionalism and not rushed to make a choice. The background music is such a delight and song choices will have you singing out...

A frequent visitor! The owner and her staff are very courteous and go out of their way to make everyone welcome, the food is delicious and well presented and the atmosphere warm and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them . Having read a few dissenting reviews, amongst the many favourable ones, we would comment in particular that the elderly and disabled seem well looked after, and every effort is made to accommodate mothers and babies too! It seems to be a popular meeting place for them one must remember that it is only a relatively small establishment and prams etc take up a fair amount of space so advanced booking might be a good idea to avoid disappointment. Even dog owners are we...

I’ve been here twice and it always seems to be a good idea until you are there.. both times the service have been very slow. I thought the slow service was due to it being quite busy the first time I visited but today, there were only 3 tables of people and it still took 30-40 minutes for my food to arrive. Secondly, the staff managed to forget that we ordered cake on both occasions so today, we ended up waiting another 35 minutes after our plates were taken away for the cake to come but it never did so we went up to speak to them and they just seemed to have forgotten despite putting it on our order. It was rather frustrating for it to happen on both occasions! Perhaps the staff need to be...
