Lorna Doone - Menu

Super menu, lovely space and great location. We had a selection of mains and all were beautifully cooked especially the local meats. Best meal we had around the area by far. Friendly staff and good value.

we had dinner and because of the quiet, elegant atmosphere and attentive service as well as a varied and excellent cuisine, we decided to come back days later a very good choice that confirms its good quality and charming reception.

a morning you called the opportunity and sat in the courtyard. nice selection of breakfast with the bonus of drinks, müsli, fresh fruit and toast. breakfast all delicious, staff were very friendly and helpful and the whole meal was great.

We had a really lovely meal in a nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was very good with a varied menu and was well presented. The service was excellent, friendly and very welcoming. It is definitely somewhere we will revisit if we are in the area...again.

We were initially a bit dismayed to find nowhere apparently open for breakfast on a Sunday morning in Porlock! Then I spotted life in the Lorna Doone, and on enquiry it was yes, they could provide us with breakfast. There was a good choice of...cereals and cooked dishes, and very good, friendly service in the cosy, traditional dining room. The meal was good value and very enjoyable.

the hotel is located in the center of porlock, with a quiet and relaxing feeling. the menu offers an interesting selection of dresses with different influences. a modest wine card and filled beer are on stock. our food came very beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and was delicious with...good taste combinations. the prices are very competitive and service very good, both polite and efficient. almost one check, only with the limited drinks choices held back.

attractive interieur houses very welcoming and accommodating. we enjoyed a relaxing drink on comfortable sofas in the bar area. the menu had a good selection- in which did so well that we immediately asked if we could book for the following night before we our. selection we were not disappointed – eating was delicious and we ended up with the cheese board a good selection of local cheese and food. the lame routes were our choice in the following night and not disappointed. many thanks.

We remember this hotel restaurant from several years ago it has completely changed following a very tasteful upgrade. the staff are extremely friendly, the food was absolutely delicious with good options, but carefully prepared on both occasions. The restaurant is very comfortable and calming,...the owners Mel and Paul are clearly passionate about their service. Kim and Tabitha served us and we were really well looked after. Very good location. Spoke with some guests and they told us that the facilities were excellent. Well done we shall be back, thank you

The Lorna Doone Hotel offers restaurant meals to those who are not staying at the hotel. I had seen the menu many times and thought the description of the dishes very temptingt but was unsure whether it was a dog friendly restaurant, then one evening...I spoke with the owners who confirmed that they accepted well behaved dogs in the restaurant. Having booked a table (highly recommended and probably absolutely necessary at the moment to ensure a table) when I arrived, albeit without our hound who we decided to leave at home as it was a wet evening, we had a very warm welcome. The food choices for starters and main course were varied and it was difficult to choose as they all sounded tempting....
