"We have recently celebrated our 30th Highschool Reunion at this Restaurant. We reserved tables for about 30 people, all of them were arranged neatly on the first floor. As everybody arrived at their own leisure, it was clear that orders would come in piecemeal. Some with food, so only for drinks. Despite booking the tables weeks in advance, Lucifer did not bother to set aside an extra server. That resulted in extreme waiting times for orders. In one situation I received 2 beers within 5min while waiting for them more than 1hr. Very strange, and when asking for service we received quite some unfriendly responses by the waiters. The menu at Luzifer is actually quite nice and the food comes with an affordable price range. I had some Penne Diavoli which turned out to be be excellent, albeit showing up late after my order. At around 10.30pm we were asked to pay our bills as the restaurant was about to close soon. While I do understand the concept of opening hours, there would have still been some significant business possible. We would have wished for some extra flexibility here. While paying, things became also quite complex as tracking down the individual orders seems to be extremely challenging for the staff. So overall I cannot really recommend the restaurant because of the rather rude way we were treated as customers. This is not what I expect, especially when a large party commits to some significant business. Maybe the management should give some more attention to this, otherwise things might develop into the wrong direction."

If you are searching for a restaurant with either a great view on the ship's pathway fromLuebeck harbour to the open sea or just a nice place to enjoy good (sea)food you should try the Luzifer's. With a small kid's corner even the youngest guests are well entertained.

1st Feb 2015, 4 of us went for the buffet lunch today. Excellent, the food was good, the service excellent, can only recommend the Luzifer. Book a table in the window on the top floor and watch the ships go by! Price including drinks was about 25 Euros per person which seems very reasonable.

The Restaurant is located right at the waterfront, overlooking the harbour and the charming ferry to the Priwall. You can sit in typical beach chairs or on the Terrace and enjoy the evening sun, while eating local fish and drinking an amber coloured viking beer. Good service, fresh and local food, definitely a place to go!

Taken to Luzifer by a work colleague, great location watching the ferry's go by. Asparagus was in season and chose these baked in crispy breadcrumb, pork fillets and a baked herbed bread, good portions, well cooked and well presented. Great service from the waitress who spoke good English. A good value for money restaurant. View menu

I was already a couple of times for brunch and dinner, the food was really good, the menu has a good variety, the surroundings and the views are really nice. The attention we received last time was really friendly and attentive. I don't remember the name of the waiter, but I remember he said some things in French. We look forward to the brunch on December 25th.

We stopped at this great located place, close to the waterline. Nice to see the big boats passing by. Our service lady was really active and had good advices... We had the large salat and the large greek salat. Euro 10 and 12,50. Large servings, the balsamico dressing and the feta cheese were amazing... After the salads, we shared a rice pudding... Amazing, too... Price/value good. Good place for an early dinner.... View menu

The location right at the fish harbor is just perfect. You can sit at the waterfront in one of the traditional roofed wicket beach chairs, on the terrace or you climb up to the second floor. From the terrace there you have a beautiful view, overlooking the whole bay, perfect setting for a sundowner. The Askard beer is a local one, worth to try frim the tap. If you want to experience local food, try the "labskaus fuer Anfaenger"!

My wife and I visited this restaurant for a Gluhwein to warm up after a local afternoon walk, and to to check it out as a potential venue for dinner that night. The restaurant was not very busy and we chose seats by the window and were served quite quickly. Customer wi-fi access was advertised, and I asked the waitress for the access code as I wished to check a train time on my i-Pad. She said she would need to check and went away, only to return shortly afterwards and to say I couldn't have code. It would appear that we were sitting at a table in the restaurant which merited us buying more than our two Gluhweins for the privilege of Internet access, despite it being advertised as a restaura...

"Luckily, Lübeck's old town is by no means poor at individual, perhaps even family-run cafes, which are not only branches of one of the dominant bakery chains, but also provide a much more personalized hospitality with their uniqueness and charm. I have already reported about a few, and in this collection, the Cafe Hansehof cannot be missed. The cafe is hidden in an inner courtyard that can be reached via the Wahmstraße. This location alone makes the cafe a secret tip for locals who long for a quiet time away from the crowds of tourists in the warm seasons, which of course come to the more exposed cafes. In addition to many seating in the inner courtyard, the interior located on two floors also delights the guest with a very lovingly designed interior, which has a lively and unique effect mainly due to many antique furnishings. This impression is also reflected in the mind of the operator pair. At lunch in May 2017, when I visited the Cafe Hansehof, the house owner Petra Roos took care of the service. The familial hospitality that she radiated on it immediately leads to a feeling of warm welcome that illuminates the mood and makes the stay all the more pleasant. In a nice conversation, I also learned that by 2015 she had already run a restaurant called Remise just a few houses away. After the termination of the lease, she (luckily for us Lübecker) remained the queen of the Hanse and has now found a new permanent place for her gastronomic heart project. In addition to cakes, breakfast arrangements and sandwiches, it is mainly an offer of many different hearty and sweet pancake dishes, which the Cafe Hansehof has written on the flags and has also become its flagship in Lübecker Gastronomy. These dishes also made me aware of the restaurant and should of course also be my food of choice. In the high north it certainly does not seem unusual that I chose a pancake creation with reference to the sea: a salmon pancake filled with smoked salmon, sour cream, fine apple slices, rag onions and some cream merrettich. (Please click on the picture to see it in the whole. I apologise for the not exactly good quality) salmon pancakes, filled with smoked salmon, sour cream, fine apple slices, rag onions and some cream horseradish. It was already noticed at the first touch that there was really thought about the composition and the court and this was prepared with just as much heart blood. The pancake dough was not too thick or too thin and made the filling tasteful space. There was no ingredient in this, but everything complemented each other in a very good relationship. The smoke aroma of the salmon, the light sweetness and acidity of the apple slices, the slight sharpness of the horseradish, the freshness of the Sour Cream and finally the bite through the onions. Only a small pinch of salt and maybe a few additional (maybe Dill suitable for salmon) would in my opinion be missing for a completely perfect composition. Even at the end of my visit, Fr. Roos concluded this with her great cordiality. After an interesting conversation about the pancake creation and their idea of specializing in such pancake dishes with the cafe, she actually didn't want to accept my tip because I was such a nice, friendly guest for you. Of course, I insisted on wanting to reward them for this great time in their cafe, but nevertheless: How often do you find such a hospitality nowadays? I just wish the Cafe Hansehof all the best and continued stability and success. I strongly recommend that everyone be convinced of the hospitality and the quality of food they have lived here. The cafe definitely deserves to be more than just a secret tip in the Lübecker Gastronomy ."
