"large small Korean restaurant with great theatre thanks to the grills they can use to cook their own meat or veg. very cheap and the whole food was delicious. we visited on a busy Saturday and the staff was somewhat overwhelmed, we had a little wait to take our order, but they apologized profusely for this when we paid the bill. but the quality of food more than made for them, we had knödel and the special rips for the starter, followed by a shader of meat and a veg plate for main with sides of rice, seaweed and spicy early swirling with a bottle of wine. all this total only less than £70 all meat was marinated and seasoned perfectly ready to be thrown on the grill. I would recommend mannaza for something other than a regular restaurant."

the only Korean bbq in newcastle. it's pretty decent for a k bbq. I came here when I was really looking for Korean food. it was good. the price is also ok, affordable for students.

really delicious food and good service. we had the pickled radishes salad, Korean potato salad, fried veggieknödel, deep roasted chicken with sweet chilisauce and a meat plate for the Korean grill. everything tasted super, and the whole meal (with drinks) was less than £30 each. we definitely come back!

I arrived around 8pm and was given a table quite quickly, within 5-10 minutes I'd say. The menu was extensive enough for us and we ordered a couple of items, which was served promptly. I can see there are quite a number of tables and only 3 staff but their service were efficient. I would come back again. View menu

Seafood pancake didn't have seafood, quite slim and no value for the price. The naengmyen, cold noodle dish was tasty but the noodles difficult to chew basically I just swallow all and only with 1 small beef cube . The meeyuk guk, seaweed soup was okay , average flavour . Caution : Too much smoke in the environment , smells sticky all over clothes and hair .

Today was our first visit, and we loved it. We got the Assorted Meat sharing platter B, and the Bap with seafood and egg. Both dishes were delicious! Would recommend adding an extra egg on the Bap dish. We had the kitchen staff cook our meal, but you have the option to cook your own me at the table! The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was nice, pleasant music. Would recommend 100%, and we'll definitely be back again!

we were in chinatown only to eat to stumble over this Korean bbq restaurant. our first Korean meal in Great Britain! our experience there was very pleasant. we had no Korean food since we were in Great Britain, and it was a welcome joy for our tongues. -kim chi stew with cheese - kim. chinurgische pfannkuchen - kim chi as side ah. after kim chi after what seemed to be an eternality was divine. it was really a pleasant meal. next time we try the grill! The taste was great with food hot and fairly fast. The only thing that brought it down was the layout of the place seemed a little cramped and could do with a redesign. The guys behind us had the barbecue option and with the vent on their table broken we ended up being covered in a cloud of smoke by the end of it as there was not adequate ventilation. Overall a positive experience and they offer student discount of 10% if you pay in cash which is always a bonus.

the whole BBQ thing puts this place in newcastle apart a bit. Although they have cooked their food before them at one of a few teppen yaki Japanese places in the city, there is only as often as I can be offered the opportunity to catch a egg in a cooking hat, and these places are not exactly cheap. mannaza is a good value, and cooking her own dinner is very same and fun; we will definitely visit friends here in the future. plus, bonus add, the website and the menu offer some excellent games for the knower of chinglish (kenglish “Come and experience this Korean explosion in the city” in the did.

"The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing."
