"Pleasant and well-kept place, ideal to discover for those visiting Ticino. Proposing a new interpretation of the gastronomy of the Ticino caves is the challenge set by the very talented chef. The ingredients are of quality, but the presentation is not always successful (see the photo of the meat . Why not stick to the classic simple and clean presentation? We had dinner a couple of times with pleasure, but the prices are a bit high for the proposals of a grotto. The pleasant and well-kept place deserves to be discovered by visitors to Ticino. Reinterpreting the cuisine of the grottoes is the challenge that this talented young chef proposes, with success. However, the presentation leaves something to be desired at times (stained crockery, smudged background lines, etc... : why not settle for a simple and clean presentation? We had dinner there twice, but the price is a bit high for a grotto."

"The starter, not à la carte, a buratta tomato salad was more than banal, no seasoning, a tomato cut into a slice with 2 buratta placed... I was going to put 2 as a note. But the chocolate fondant was very successful. On the other hand, we are very far from the photos that were available so we have the impression of having been deceived."

"Wir haben zu dritt im kleinen gemütlichen Esssaal zu abend gegessen. Es gab zwei mal Polenta mit Schweinebäckchen an Biersauce und einmal ein grosses Cordon bleu mit Pommes frites. Beides war ausgezeichnet und von guter Qualität. Zum Dessert hat jeder etwas anderes gewählt und alle waren wir sehr zufrieden. Der Saison entsprechend waren es Vermicelles, Kastanien-Eis und Trauben-Sorbet mit Grappa. Wir können diese Osteria mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung gerne weiter empfehlen und werden bestimmt wieder kommen!"

"Von aussen hübsch anzusehen mit Fahnen, Parkplatz unter Bäumen und Veranda, sind wir bei einer Fahrt durchs Valle Maggia im Restaurant Grotto Valmaggese gelandet. Aufgrund der Corona Bestimmungen durfte nur draussen gegessen werden. Der Service war freundlich, hat aber den Wein vergessen aber immerhin auch nicht berechnet. Das Essen (Kalbsschnitzel mit Risotto) war nur lauwarm und schmeckte scheusslich, das andere Gericht war sehr übersichtlich. Eher wie eine Kinderportion. Für ein Luxusessen, wo man drei Kartoffeln und halb rohes Fleisch geniesst, fehlt es an Qualität zumal Fertigsosse. Dafür aber stolze Preise…"
