"We stayed yesterday for the first time in Maria's Taverne Essen and were delighted. The food was very delicious. We were already in some Greek restaurants in Essen, but Maria's Taverne is the best in the total area (about 100 km). All employees are very nice, polite and very attentive. You feel comfortable. In advance you get a very fresh salad (see photo). Very sufficient. The Gyros very tasty and the pork fillet was very delicate. There was potato gratin to this pig fillet. This was top! It was a very nice evening and we like to come back. Maria's Taverne can only be recommended!"

We were here the first time today. I have rarely eaten so well Greek and I have been in many Greek restaurants. Very nice boss and very friendly and attentive staff. So always!!!

We ordered a barbecue for 2 people for our wedding day, but we have the lockdown. It was super tasty, the meat tender and lean and really delicious supplements. That wasn't our last order!

A great Greek restaurant. The food is absolutely not to bite, the owner always has a loose spell. Just a nice atmosphere, we can only recommend Marias Taverne and we already have. We're thrilled!

Starters, main course and dessert fit everything. The Gyros is the best I have eaten so far. So much the appetizers are delicious. PS. They also offer during the Corona that you can pick up the food there!!!

Who is looking for good Greek food is right at Maria’s Taverne. I felt very welcome and comfortable right after arrival. The staff is very polite and stands for the guests. For dinner, I can only say so much that it has exceeded my expectations. The grill specialities are really top!!! Very tasty and well portioned. I can only recommend Maria’s Taverne. I for my part, will now come by the more open
