"We wanted to book a table for 2 people via the Groupon website for a Hendricks Gin Afternoon tea. However when I phoned to book this, I was told they had now changed their afternoon tea for a Charlie and the Chocolate factory afternoon tea. I booked a date and time and when we turned up, there seemed to be confusion about what we had booked and where we should sit. Eventually they put us at a table with a menu for the afternoon tea, which included bubble gum 'cocktail ' and chocolate milkshake... The way they served the food was very imaginative, as the sandwiches, scones and chocolate cakes came in a square box, which was very interesting. It seemed all freshly made and was tasty enough. However I had looked forward to a shot of gin and a gin jelly..... The hotel itself has fantastic views over the beach/shore and I can imagine that people from the city would love to stay here (I stay close by so used to the views) The staff was all as helpful as possible and served us in time without too long waiting times. Would recommend the restaurant."

Food good but have to eat with dogs barking and not smelling very nice, seating is more like a canteen with no comfortable seating to watch there sky and BT viewings

It was and over night stay in the hotel as a birthday treat. We both had a light lunch and followed by our evening meal. Both faultless meals. Waiting staff efficient and friendly. I would recommend it to any of my family and friends.

Had supper here on an overnight stay. The staff were very attentive, the food was quite tasty and the wait times were just right. I always like the food to take a bit of time getting there as it indicates that it is not reheated and served.

My friend and I enjoyed a sumptuous Hendrick's afternoon tea. Service was great. The food was lovely and the accompanying Hendricks served in tea cups was delightful. The reataurant was very relaxing and despite the rain it was great to be overlooking the sea. Will definitely return.

Me and my wife had dinner, which was really good , the two waiters were very friendly and helpful, I had a three course, my wife had a two course, both of us finished but I must admit it was a struggle, I had pate to start followed by haddock and chips, peas , coleslaw, fish was amazing presentation very good, finished of with knickerbockers glory, if in area again would certainly go back ,

The restaurant is spacious and nicely furnished. The menu was varied with a good choice of both starters and mains. The mussel starter was excellent and also the prawn and avocado. The fish pie was generous filling with fish and prawns but the method of heating resulted in the potato topping and the mussel garnish being a little dry. The stone bass was very tasty but strangely it is the first time I had been given half of a fillet.Anyone with a hearty appetite would have found the portion size a little small. The staff were friendly and attentive.
