"When I heard that Le Mas des Geraniums had a new owner I decided to give a try. My wife and I were greeted warmly by the one and only waiter. Our table was situated outside under a plastic cover. I went for the €29...set menu (3 courses), my wife choose the sea bass. My first course; fish soup was tasty but just warm. I had the flank of beef for the main course; nothing special. For desert i had the panacota smothered in a sickly sweet jam. Not nice. My wife's sea bass was over cooked and dry, almost inedible. When I complained to the waiter she offered not to charge for the two glasses of wine. Overall experience a big disappointment and the final bill was €70. As a footnote we have a lot summer visitors staying at our property and it's does not enhance the reputation at all of the beautiful village of Opio to be let down by bad restaurants, whose main object is to charge the customer as much as possible for inferior quality food.Needless to say we shall not be going back again."

we have made a bad experience after the new possession of this facility, and we were once again disappointed about the terrible standard of food! Another terrible meal and the phrase 'clip joint' is the best way to describe our latest experience!

My sister and her husband decided to organize a lunch for our family at the Mas des Géraniums. We were treated poorly and the waiters forget our plates and to take the orders properly. We waited 45 minutes for forks and knives. When I went...to the bathroom, they insulted us and the manager of the restaurant refused to speak to us to apologize. I am shocked and disgusted. Nice change! This place took a new young, neat and sworn. The map wants to discover its wonders. The waiter listens and his gold advice, invested at a hundred percent, is the pleasure...! The dishes we ordered were succulent, as well as his wines advised by him. dessert, a pure wonder. We met and ate under the heated patio, warm and relaxed atmosphere ... we left enchanted with this place and its flavors ..!

we had planned a nice family dinner. we should have left the first minute we arrived. welcome was unprofessional and uneasy. this continued served with appetizer, without even mentioning, and only a part of it. when she was asked, learned what that was, and then a missing part was brought without excuse. the red wine was warm as he had probably spent the whole afternoon in the sun. the main course, tataki, was overcooked, and we asked him to be changed. no word of excuse. the food was tasteless. we stopped and went without asking for dessert. we were less than satisfied with unprofessional, uneducated and inaccessible service. the two ladies are probably not connected to the owner or any int...

"Restaurant chosen by chance with the family. We were looking for a restaurant so as not to eat at home and they still had a table available. We said to ourselves: “pizzas will do it for our two daughters”. And it didn't happen as we imagined. We enter, a young woman welcomes us friendly, we have the small table at the back. It's crowded, I told myself we're going to wait ages. We chose two pizzas, two lasagnas, mushrooms with garlic butter, half a bottle of wine and sodas for the little ones. First good surprise, we were served quickly. Second good surprise, everything is cooked over a wood fire, the mushrooms are delicious, the thin crust pizzas are among the best we have eaten, the girls enjoyed the lasagna, the wine was good and served at the perfect temperature. Third good surprise, people at the counter bring out two guitars, an impromptu concert. We linger a little, we applaud the artists, we order desserts. The desserts were also good, we finished with coffee and a digestive, a small pear (to be consumed in moderation). This restaurant reminded me of the atmospheres in some restaurants from the 90s. Simple cuisine of excellent quality, in the pure tradition of regular restaurants, no fuss. The devil is in the details and by observing carefully we know that everything is perfect, that we are in the right place to have a good time. It's refined, delicate without being pretentious. The welcome and politeness of the people in the room is admirable. They made sure the girls didn't get burned on the lasagna dishes. A small detail that makes the difference. We will come back with pleasure Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"My wife and I ate at this 1* Michelin restaurant on the edge of Grasse in Maganos last night, and it is by far the best new discovery in the Côte d’Azur we have come across this summer. The restaurant is family owned and operated, featuring Sébastien Giraud as the head chef and his wife Madame Giraud as the maître d’. The location offers a beautiful view down through the valley of Grasse, and it is relatively quiet even though it is on a main artery into Grasse from the east. There are only 15 or so covers, and this – in my opinion – is a benefit to patrons both in terms of quality of food and service. The food was absolutely excellent. It is not fussy per se, but features local seasonal ingredients, which is obvious from the first dish. It is creative as well, but not in a way that gets in the way of the taste of the food. On offer is either a 3- or 4-course dinner, at prices of €39 and €55. For quality of the experience, this is outstanding value. Wines are readily available by the bottle or glass, with the latter offerings well-matched with the food and not “over-the-top” expensive. I had fresh tomato and crabmeat starter, followed by the turbot, then a smoked chicken in a lovely broth, and a marvellous finisher, opting for cheese rather than desert. The cheese was special, in that it was a creamy and rather light cheese mousse with summer truffles. All dishes are modest in size and prepared with seasonal (and locally-sourced) ingredients, garnished in a way that makes the flavours come to life. Nothing about the food was disappointing! The service was also excellent, with Mdm Giraud assisted by her very capable son in serving diners. Both French and English are spoken. There is no air at all about this place, which is casual and inviting. With outstanding food, excellent service, a pleasant ambience, and good value, Au Fil du Temp is one of the best finds in this region I have come across in some time, and I highly recommend it."
