The best meal i have ever eaten. Great selection of vegan and veggie food, lovely atmosphere, cannot say a bad word about it! Friendly staff and great service

What a great find. We had a delicious meal here this evening. We booked the day before. The waitress was really nice and we didn’t feel rushed even though they busied up.

Delightful tapas. We had a nice variety of dishes, and staff was very attentive to gluten intolerance of one of our party. We especially enjoyed the tortillas espanol and baked mozzarella aubergine, as well as the garlic mushrooms and patatas brava. View menu

We visited Mascara on a Tuesday night at 6.30pm we were the 1st customers in, but by 7pm was nearly full. The food and service was top notch would fully recommend, you can bring your own booze or buy it in the restaurant. The veggie sharing starter was amazing,the most tasty veggie food I've ever tried.

We visited on Monday 13th July. What a lovely little place. Beautiful decor. Loved the ceiling and lights. The chairs were very comfortable too! Friendly welcome from the waitress who gave great service. Every course of food was delicious. The main course tagines were to die for. Very generous portions too. Would definitely recommend. 10/10

Found as we were walking past looking for somewhere to eat. An absolute gem, the food was so tasty all clearly home made! The meze for two was a perfect starter, lovely dips and falafels better than we’ve ever tried. It’s bring your own alcohol but they do also have a wine list at reasonable prices! Ate here with my a partner during our weekend break to Brighton. What can I say, other than mouthwatering. Our vegetarian meze for 2 as a starter was amazing, full of taste! Just when we didn't think it couldn't get any better, out came our mains! They were mouthwateringly good, the lamb in my babsa bel l'ham was so tender and full of flavour. The service was great, with a big shoutout to the older lady who served us, she was great! The restaurant has an intimate North African feel to it, shown by the decor, low tables and low chairs. Would recommend and will definitely return!

Absolutely love this restaurant. It's recently been taken over by a new owner and he has improved the menu and there is now an even better choice for veggies/vegans. It's a lovely place for both a quiet meal with a partner or for a group which the staff cope very well with. The food is really good (the tagines are generous so best to be hungry! and there is a good wine list too. The Lebanese wine is well worth trying. The atmosphere is really cosy and authentic and the staff are lovely. It's a small place and not particularly noticeable from the outside (I walked past it when I was actually looking for it! so easily missed a hidden gem!

We were eager to try a newly opened restaurant in Brighton Hove and we had the opportunity last Sunday evening. The first contact was by telephone when we called to make the reservation. The member of staff was super friendly, high energy and very accommodating. Upon arrival, first impressions were good. The decor is pleasant. The only negative was a TV displaying sports not my cuppa tea at all! I guess the intent is to make it a casual dining experience. The staff were busy yet attentive.
