"We were hoping post covid that the menu would be back to where it once was. No such luck. Very little choice and while we were informed the fish cakes were a main meal if we had 2 each, we had to go elsewhere for a proper lunch afterwards. We did ask if we could have the potatoes and veg that came with the pork main meal but apparently they only had enough portions to go with the meat, even though they were 30 mins away from stopping serving lunch. The fish cakes supposedly came with salad. I had seen lovely salads on other plates the whole she bang of lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, even coleslaw on one table so when it came with 3 wilted leaves it was doubly disappointing. At the very least you could offer veg with all main meals, we would happily have paid extra though to be honest it wasn’t cheap for 2 fish cakes. They were very tasty and a great appetiser but by no stretch were they a meal. Either you are a restaurant or you aren’t. Right now you aren’t."

Pretty show garden, with lots of planting ideas. Helpful staff and a busy cafe.

The service and atmosphere are wonderful, and I always enjoy coming here, as it reminds me of the times I spent with my mom and her best friend. It brings back such great memories for me. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is not only amazing but also a fantastic value. View menu

The gardens are stunning and impeccably maintained, providing a peaceful atmosphere with plenty to explore. We also enjoyed the Beerrimente full breakfast, which was not only delicious but beautifully presented at the table. I highly recommend visiting this place. I even picked up a few items from the shop, making for a wonderful day overall.

This is a very charming garden centre. Although the indoor shop is smaller than many, they still manage to put on great displays, plus when I was there they were starting to put out the Christmas selection. The restaurant is now back to table service and is often packed. They always have a specials board. Cakes that not only look good but taste just as great. All round it's a lovely place to go.

This is a truly delightful place to visit. The Garden Centre is well-stocked, and the selection of gifts and cards is impressive. I enjoyed a cider and carrot cake while sitting outside in a peaceful and charming area. The Merriment Gardens are absolutely stunning; the planning and planting reflect great thought and skill, offering a varied and innovative experience that is a joy to behold. I highly recommend it! A wonderful garden which has been divided into many garden 'rooms '. The jungle garden, herb garden, silver birch coppice in particular are simply amazing. With plenty of benches to sit and admire the garden it is easy to spend several hours here whether relaxing or gaining inspiration for your own garden. Definitely one of the best gardens in the South East. The staff in the nursery are helpful, knowledgeable and very polite and plants are reasonably priced.

First time, very pleased visitors! Bought a variety of indoor/outdoor plants for wife’s birthday (the choice here is VAST! and all look healthy and happy. Also enjoyed lunch in the Merriments restaurant and that was delicious. All the staff here are helpful, friendly and know their stuff. Big shout out to Grace who was especially helpful in choosing our house plants, and Tracey for our outdoor stuffThank you!! We will return to look around the gardens (too wet today and enjoy another lunch! Oh, and no doubt buy some more plants! All in all. This place is perfect!

"FINE DINING EXPERIENCE ! Had a beautiful meal at the Prince of Kent for the first time after having a disappointing meal at another Indian restaurant. Let’s just say we were beyond pleased with our experience here definitely worth the 20 minute drive! We rang late notice but still managed to get a table for around 7:40 on a Saturday night. It was reasonably busy so I’d recommend booking. We were greeted and sat in a lovely spacious clean booth with fresh flowers. We were served by lovely waiters who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed whether that be drinks, napkins etc. Popadoms were lovely and crispy and arrived within 10 minutes, dips and salad fresh. Our mains came, me and my partner were pleasantly surprised. Portion sizes were amazing and we both admitted that it was best chicken in a curry we had ever had, honestly so juicy and tender. I had a Butter Chicken which was spot on and he had a Tikka Masala (both beautiful). Mushroom rice was extremely generous and Sag Paneer was spot on too. Naan bread was very nice very light and fluffy so we both left feeling full but not bloated! The waiter who delivered our mains double checked everything with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Best meal out we had in a long while, everything was delightful, came piping hot and well presented! Thank you to your team for your service, you definitely have a loyal customer in us, our whole evening was perfect. We will bring our whole family next time as we know they’ll love it as much as we did. Would recommend to anyone as everyone went above and beyond! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable dishes, sides were generous too! Dietary restrictions: The menu is self explanatory and helps mark what is safe for people with dietary requirements, staff asked if anyone had allergies Parking: Park on street or Waitrose, pop in and maybe buy a drink or something small (2 hours free) Do not park in Royal Oak or you will receive a fine."

"I moved to the area 2 months ago, never usually order Indian but it is the ONLY take out option around. I've struggled over the years to find a decent Indian but the struggle is over! Only 2 months of living in Robertsbridge and me and my partner have ordered from here around 5+ times. Tonight was the first night we dined in, and the experience only got better. The staff are INCREDIBLE, I wanted something *SPICY* after the vindaloo wasn't spicy enough for me previously, they said I couldn't handle the spiciest curry on the menu and recommended a hot curry with a side of the spiciest curry they do but only the sauce, which I'm glad they told me as I wouldn't of been able to handle that sauce in a full curried meal. The curry with the side of spicy sauce was just perfect! A meal fully catered to my taste! They have soo many options and if that isn't good enough for you, they even mention they will make a meal for you that isn't on the menu if you suggest it. They have fully covered every single persons food preference. You will not walk away disappointed or unsatisfied! I don't care that Uber eats aren't available where I live. I don't care that this is the only food delivery in the area. This is the ONE. Dietary restrictions: It can be catered to you! They'll work around any dietary restrictions Parking: Easy, simple, close, spacious. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Onion Bhaji Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot"
