Reçu un midi par du personnel adorable.Cuisine fraiche et bien composée par le patron, vive l'entrecôte par exemple !Un tarif raisonnable pour l'ambiance et les plats.

Mets and cafe is a great corner restaurant about 200 meters from the hustling train station. It's on a quiet street but always busy.. The owners are nice but more important the food is simple and very good for the price. Go for lunch !...A few tables outside..

Vers 18h30 nous nous sommes arrêter pour manger, super restaurant traditionnel, très bon accueil, très aimable et serviable... Nous avons pris le plat du jour qui se composé de : 3 tranches de rôti saucé avec frites maison, salade puis nous avons pris 1 café . Total 10€ par personne, WC très propre... Vraiment a recommandé ...

I live in this neighbourhood, and this caffe is all. they are only open for lunch, but they will not be disappointed. it is home french cooking to fantastic trips. reserve, especially because the locals eat here. they even have some people eating here. every day for lunch. it is leur cantine go, do not hesitate for the plat du jour.

here is a little bite to eat. only recognized by this thought that it was not my biggest idea. although the prices were very fair, the foods themselves float in the average. Beyond that, the street that this caffe is located is rather rough and dirty, which I eat from my rather a little bit. the personal could not have been nicer, although I might have caught them on a bad day.

Voilà un des derniers restaurants de quartier dans le secteur, avec sa clientèle d'habitués et son ambiance familiale. Un accueil personnalisé qui fait qu'on s'y sent comme chez soi. Une cuisine simple mais succulente à base de produits frais et de spécialités locales. Et des prix tout doux. Je ne sais pas si la sympathique patronne s'appelle Laurette (il y a assez peu de chances...), mais si c'était le cas, on pourrait rechanter "C'était bien, c'était chouette chez Laurette".

I just arrived in nizza and had told me that I should keep this place as an option. I went there in the evening when they only made drinks. so I ordered a red wine after a long day of travel. I. have a recommendation for a pasta or pizza near, as I was only a few blocks away. to my luck they had enough for a service of spaghetti bolognese left, if they did some preparation that I accept gratefully. the table was determined. I was not disappointed, it was just a beautiful traditional version of the teller. many thanks to a great waiter who did this for me. I will return.

...and what a relief! Places like this, once the norm in France, are getting increasingly hard to find. Prices haven't risen a bit. Quality remains high, plenty of choice on the 12.50 three course menu, daily specials, generous portions....everything fresh. The hostess with the mostest,...very welcoming while keeping tabs on the servers and customers. She sees all, misses nothing. Busy busy....turning away diners minutes after 12. Just a little off the main drag so hardly a tourist in sight. I felt very French...and my command of the language actually improved a wee bit just being there. Don't miss it!

Aux États-Unis on appellerait cela "hearty food", de la nourriture qui nous fait du bien tant sur le plan gustatif qu'émotionnel, car ce genre de nourriture nous rappelle la bonne nourriture faite maison de grand-mère. Les plats proposés sont sans prétention mais délicieux et nourrissent à la fois l'esprit et le corps, le tout avec des ingrédients frais. Les patrons, lui aux fourneaux elle à la salle sont aussi sympathiques que leur cuisine et on y va aussi pour leur gentillesse et accueil. La rue Assalit où se trouve leur restaurant n'est pas des plus agréables de Nice, mais il faut pousser les portes de ce café-restaurant au moins une fois, pour y déguster les bons plats du patron ou dégus...
