"How disappointing. We went there as we saw the great reviews and that they had vegan vegetarian options BUT apart from the beautiful view there wasn’t much to be desired. The eggplant in the grilled vegetable was completely undercooked hard. The caprese was very average and if you compare the photos from a past review that I have attached, you’ll see it’s clear we got some half arsed effort tonight. Our vegan caprese lacked detail that it once had no heart shape cheese and only one little fresh basil which is SO necessary for flavour. Compare the photos from the review and tonight, where there used to be basil throughout the dish. Our Seitan dish was half the size of the photo in a previous review AND was barely edible VERY over cooked, difficult to cut with a knife. What’s more the ratatouille it came with was cold. It was very underwhelming. We also had a pasta dish which was also cold and lacked flavour. Oh, and my wine came with an insect. My only regret is I waited until the bill to give feedback. I should’ve sent it all back to the chef. There was one nice waitress but overall the whole place lacked personality and didn’t feel welcoming at all. We’ve eaten at a LOT of places and call ourselves “foodies” I rarely leave a negative review, so to write this says exactly how disappointing the experience was. To top it off it was the our most expensive meal in Lake Como for us 4x the lunch we had earlier in the day that was so authentic, served warm, and delicious and satisfying which makes it even worse. I’m always happy spend the extra s on a great meal, but sadly this was NOT!!!"

"Eravamo alla ricerca di un ristorante lontano dalla località turistica Varenna per provare le vere specialità della zona, così ci siamo spinti nell'entroterra. Locale molto semplice ma carino. I ragazzi che servono ai tavoli anche se alle prime armi sono gentili. Il menù è interessante ma privo di informazioni (pizza non disponibile a pranzo, elenco di bevande, coperto). Nel complesso si mangia bene. La sorpresa l'abbiamo avuta al conto, 1/2 litro di vino sfuso della casa pagato ben 13€. Giustificato secondo il ragazzo alla cassa dall'aver terminato lo sfuso e di aver aperto pertanto una bottiglia (senza informarci)Risposta al proprietario:La lista dei vini non è stata portata al tavolo e non essendo un self service non sarò io a cercarla nel locale. Se il ristorante non dispone di vino sfuso bastava dirlo avremmo ordinato una bottiglia e non il vino della casa (come si evince dallo scontrino). Inoltre il ragazzo alla cassa ha giustificato il prezzo dicendo che il vino della casa era finito e pertanto ha aperto una bottiglia.Il pranzo è stato gradito, la mancanza di correttezza meno."

"found very nice lunch place osteria quattro pass at varenna 23.5.2022. this the best meal we had, getting better everyday every dish was good grilled octopus excellent very tasty, tender great smoke grill flavours ravioli with swordfish was fabulous squidink pasta among the best pasta this trip alongside the raw scampi pasta yesterday at trattoria santo stefano in lenno the beef tartare not the usual chopped with onions peppers capers etc but chunky beef cuts..very sweet nice not sinewy fibrous.. the plume Iberia was excellent flavourful well marbled charred the cheese crusted beef fillet medium rare was as best as could be..lean not our favourable cut..sweet tasty..iberico trumps this dish though in comparison"

"excellent experience. we went with friends from the Romanesque and the spain at bellagio to make a tour of the city and we chose this place because also good/good reviews here and on other sites. Purtoppo we could not book for people as the restaurateur told us that they would not have booked for that Saturday. but so much so that the experience was still great. Although the restaurant was full, we had to sit back and make sure we'd have to wait a little while for all the other customers first. Well, after less than minutes, they came to us and took our orders. We've had a lot of fish cuttings with small quantities of fodder and fruit and vegetables, which are very popular with the French and German authorities. satisfied with the genuineness of the meats and cheeses and the freshness of the mix of the fish of the lake (a salmon trout, trout of laurel, missoltini, fillets of fish perch with butter and sage sandwiches with salamirino eggs, and sandwiches with lake fish ragù) all really delicious. "Abbiamo avuto modo di provare questo ristorante pizzeria per caso, dopo il rientro da una bellissima passeggiata sul lago di Varenna:Siamo stati subito accolti dal Personale di sala in modo cordiale e capace. La sensibilità dimostrata nei confronti di un disabile nell’aiutarlo ad accomodarsi al tavolo è stata eccezionale (purtroppo ormai di umanità se ne trova poca).Lo stesso trattamento (ripeto eccezionale) è stato riservato anche al nostro cagnolino con un benvenuto dato da una ciotola di acqua fresca. Il Capo Sala Orlando accoglie i clienti con grande cordialità, attento ad ogni minimo particolare per permettere di passare una bella serata in maniera straordinaria.. ci siamo sentiti coccolati su ogni cosa.Ambiente curato e pulito.Le pizze provate sono ottime!!!Complimenti al pizzaiolo!!! La pizza con pancetta grana e croste di grana era una vera delizia per il palato.Da segnalare positivamente la rapiditànel servizio.Quando tornerò non mancherà di certo una nuova visita al vostro ristorante!!
