"One says one should never judge a book by its cover, however that is exactly what we did unfortunately. From the outside, the cafe appears busy, modern and appealing, with little to no available tables. The menu also is trendy, and offers all a millennial of 2019 would want (eggs, chips, burgers, ketchup etc) Service is slow, coffee is not too dissimilar from the stir in sachets of Nescafé Expresso (ironic because it took 15 minutes). The food is very bland, everything tastes the same, and you are left with a very greasy pallet. I wouldn’t normally leave reviews, but I feel these cowboys are piggybacking modern trends, prices to match but quality is cheap and reeks of wholesale."

Delicious! Went for Sunday brunch. Excellent service, all social distance protocol followed, clean and everyone very friendly and efficient. Loved the full breakfast and cappuccino. Lovely morning out front in the sun! Support local business!

Had the full breakfast, looked and tasted like it was cooked the day before, refrigerated, reheated and served warm to me. Bacon inedible, grilled toms stone cold, All for the bargain price of £15.95 including tea and ‘service charge’. should have realised when I walked in the place was empty. View menu

Scrumptious food served up by chef Aidan Manning who was trained by Jamie Oliver. Lovely rustic decor to go with locally sourced vegetables, this really is a hidden gem in Mill Hill, North London. Nice atmosphere, friendly service with a smile with a fabulous selection of dishes. I really enjoyed the smashed avocado and poached egg and sausages.

We popped in for some brunch as the menu sounded brilliant! Beautiful cafe and amazing menu however the food was very poor, nothing was seasoned or really had any flavour and the quality of the produce is very poor which is reflected in the taste. Slow service a few friendly faces but most looked quite miserable. Coffee also wasn’t great. Wouldn’t spend money here again sadly!

My sister and I met for lunch in Mill Hill to go to the Delisserie which we like. Surprised to discover it had closed permanently. Decided instead to try Mill Brew. What a good decision that turned out to be. The rustic setting is interesting, I would describe it as walls that had been stripped down to the bricks with holes in them not plastered. However you don’t eat the decor. I went for the BBQ Brisket Burger swapped the chips for Sweet Potato Fries. Very tasty filling. The BBQ taste was different I enjoyed it. I thought the portion for £10 was good value for Mill Hill. I will enjoy going there again for lunch. View menu

The manageress confirmed to me on the phone that if I brought back my receipt she would refund the £1.50 for the hot water charged in error. The bill was approx £28. I returned a few weeks later but unfortunately the chef who was looking after the restaurant said she was not there anymore and REFUSED to reimburse me (in front of customers he continued to say NO and that hot water was on the menu which I found out it was not!! . I stood there with customers looking on not budging; he walked away and returned putting £1.50 in my hand and told me not to return. I could not believe he acted so appallingly. It was the principle.

I usually go here with friends as I enjoy the cappuccino, last time I went with my two year old son . He was taking the sugar in and out the sugar pot and dropped a few on the floor . I was there for about 5 min . The stuff seemed very bothered by this . A staff member came twice asking me to stop my son from doing this as they can’t recycle the sugar paper if it goes on the floor . My son even said sorry to him , bless him . I left straight away as I felt children were not very welcomed in this place . I went to the next coffee shop and he done the same game . The waiter came and smiled and gave him a lollipop . Never going to Mill &Brew again !

"I thought I should write a review for sofalino, 2 wonderful evenings spent there over the last month, once for my birthday meal with family, and then again a few nights to dinner with my sister. I've been here since its opening 5 years ago, and it's one of my favorite in north london. the food I had eaten at my birthday dinner was undoubtedly the finest food I had tasted since my vacation in italy in the last summer. after having enjoyed the soft, velvety brot and plump juicy oliven, I shared the antipasto for 2 with my sister for the starter and went for the cow mouse for the pornstar. the antipasto is fantastic; it contains prosciutto, salami, mortadella and breesaola for the cultivated meat, roasted aubergine, courgette and red paprika for the vege and is served on many rockets with circustomates, artichokes and black olives. but the absolute high points of the plate were the buffalo bocconcini, deep roasted valleyggio in the brothcrümeln and gorgonzola arancini. so many beautiful aromas to enjoy, and this is only in the starter! the kalbsmilanese was crooked and fritted to perfection, and was huge! my vater, mama and I decided to go with gorgonzola and spinat gnocchi, instead of the standard linguine napoletana, which to potentially one of the best main courses I have ever eaten outside italian. other dishes that are worth mentioning from this night are the pappardelle with venison and porcini mushrooms, and the gnocchi alla sorrentina. when it was my birthday, they had made me a stunning chocolate cake with fresh strawberries, which covered the meal nicely. for my meal last night I had the antipasto, of course, but this time the arancini even better was the last time she had saffron in, which is possibly my favorite last thing. I had the calzone for the main course, which was simply delicious with a lot of ham and mushroom filling and a nice teigy but crispy crust. I went to dessert the day for pudding, completely forget my clients quickly from no cake / sweet tasty things, but it was totally worth because my huuuge disc birne, mandel and ricota tart was from the top drawer; my sister had only one bit of the baked crust and she still talked about how incredible it was the next day! sofalino also has a very high quality wine list; the primitivo 'il pumo ' is a personal favorite of our, with its dark, smooth, laumen intense taste. at both of these locations the restaurant was full and flowering, and the personal friendly and attentive; just what they want from an Italian restaurant. without doubt, I will be back sooner than later."
