"Improvement needed since my previous review (based upon our previous two consecutive/likely final visits). We regularly visit Miller and Carter throughout the country, I regularly meet with customers and take our engineers there. Thankfully this is an isolated incident, unfortunately it is at my local branch and twice on the run now. The first visit could be put down to potentially unexpected increased demand on service, the second highlighted a need for significant improvement. We waited over five minutes at the front desk to be seated, where at least four (empty handed) staff members saw we were waiting yet made no effort to provide service or advise someone will be with us shortly. We were seated, then it took a further fifteen minutes to take our drinks order. It then took a further fifteen minutes to take our food order. Only after waiting more than thirty minutes were we told that no menu items for specific dietary needs were in stock. There were no alternatives available so we said we would have to leave. Rather than apologise for the inconvenience, the server asked should she get us the bill (for drinks we'd taken a few sips from, after wasting over thirty minutes of our time). I advised she should take them back and we left."

Waited too long to be seated, after asking 2 staff. It was Easter Sunday so knew it would be busy, so everything a bit slower than usual. Mains arrived, chips and onions both cold, lovely waitress sorted it out immediately. Steak delicious . Dessert great.

2nd time going here, food was good but beware we had 2 x 2 course meals 1 x starter and main, 1 x main and dessert) but the bill showed 1 x 1 courseand 1 x 3 course. This was explained as th e till working out the cheapest option, however working this out afterwards, it ripped us off by £3.20. Not a terrific amount but definitely not the cheaper options. Wish I had taken up the offer of the waitress to manually work it out for me.
