"My friend recommended Montaz, a restaurant where they eat regularly, and I must say none of us were disappointed. It is easily the best Indian food I have had in Newmarket or Cambridge. Each dish we tried was fragrant and beautifully spiced, with the lamb biryani standing out as outstanding. The paneer and chana vegetarian options were also excellent. We particularly enjoyed the ginger and honey naan, and I would choose it over the peshwari naan next time. The service was friendly and helpful, with lots of advice on portion sizes. We will definitely be returning, as it is a fantastic alternative to the usual work Christmas lunch."

To have an Indian Restaurant of this calibre on your doorstep is wonderful. Menu varied with some unusual twists. Food excellent and good value. Have eaten here several times and each time is as good as the last.

This is simply the best Indian restaurant we have been to. Sublime food, the chicken wings were a delicious starter, as was the tikka. Fantastic service friendly staff. Reasonably priced for the quality. Highly recommend

we booked a table for 4 after a successful day at the races, and the meal did not disappoint. Lovely food and great service to end a perfect race day on a high. thanks for making this short break in Newmarket a special experience. We will be back!

My friends and I had dinner in Newmarket. We were hesitant about trying Indian food outside of London, but we were convinced to give Montaz a try. While the starters were lacking, the main course was fantastic. The waitstaff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend trying this restaurant!

A great little gem in the heart of Newmarket town center. The quality of the food spoke for itself, outstandingly good. The service was impeccable and nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Most restaraunts i find appetiser to be the star dishes but at Montaz the mains are also immensely scrumptious with different flavours within each dish (not your old school base gravy for every curry) i would highly recommended you try this restaurant as you will definitely not be disappointed.
