"Very busy when I arrived. Owner served me and was courteous and nice. Sorry I can't give a glowing review. My food took far, far too long to arrive. Although I have a pretty common special dietary requirement which was used as justification for the very long wait for a sandwich, it was still not good. Other cafes manage to fix me food in far less time. I thought my sandwich filling tasted good but that it was very expensive for what I had amount of salad served with it and sandwich size were tiny. On the plus side, I really liked the vibe and all the memorabilia and historical explanation about the links with the shoemaker who had worked out of this shop maybe even lived there who left for America on the Mayflower, ultimately being an ancestor of many Americans including Marilyn Monroe."

£7 for a tuna sandwich! Why? I've been done, so expensive for something so bland. Paid £3.60 down the road a couple of days later.

A smallish cafe with great hospitality. Potato waffles, poached egg and avocado were perfect for an eleven o’clock meal. The table service also gives it extra points.

The service at this restaurant is very friendly and the staff is amazing. The food is excellent and offers great value for money. I highly recommend trying the ginger cake.

I cannot fault this quaint little cafe! The service and food were top notch plus the owner was very friendly and chatty! Normally I leave a cafe still hungry but the portions at Mullins are more than adequate. View menu

Myself and my wife went to Mullins for an afternoon tea. From friendly staff, through to excellent food this was a memorable trip. Very reasonably priced and will certainly be going again when we next go to Dorking. Top tip try their specialty the ginger cake, one of the best cakes we have ever tried.

Excellent little coffee shop on fab antiques street in Dorking. Delightful owners providing great service, attention to detail, and most importantly scrumptious food. The piece de resistance is the homemade ginger cake. Baked on the premises by the owner and the BEST I have ever tasted. If you find yourself perusing the antiques in Dorking and are in need of refreshments, be sure to pop in here

Arrived at around 15:20pm. Although many places were free we had to sit at a particular table because ‘the others had been cleaned and weren’t to be used’ .. presumably do the owner should make an easy closure at 16:00. Our permitted table was inline with the door and traffic noise was bad. Ordered the ginger/date cake unfortunately was dry and crumbly definitely not moist and delicious. A disappointing visit. We have been trying to visit Mullins for a few years now, but it's always busy when we come to Dorking. However, today we finally got lucky, and it was worth the wait. The sandwiches were delicious, filled generously with fresh ingredients, and the coffee was the best in town. We also enjoyed a slice of ginger cake which was a delightful accompaniment. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making our visit to this charming coffee shop an absolute pleasure.

What a wonderful discovery! The Coffee Shop has friendly staff, delicious food, and a touch of history. It is located in the home of William Mullins, one of the Pilgrim Fathers who journeyed on The Mayflower to America in 1620. The menu offers a variety of options including breakfast, light lunches, and homemade cakes. They also have a selection of Spanish fruit juices available by the bottle. The café is small, well-organized, and provides top-notch service. A warm welcome awaits you at this charming spot.
